What kind of pen/marker do you use to trace the template on the felt? Cause I cant seem to find any pen that is good for tracing on felt.

@xSUBTLE I use a sharpie, regular pen, or sometimes chalk will work. It's not always the easiest. Kinda gotta scribble a bit to get it to work. You could also just pin the pattern on the felt and cut around it instead of tracing to.

What kind of marker is best for tracing onto felt? :) I hate it when my marker gets all smudgey if I accidentally touch it >.<

@silentstranger Mine usually do that because I use sharpie most of the time. But you could try using a coloured pencil or chalk. I also sometimes use a regular pen which don't smudge as much. :)

@Doglover1659 I got them at Michael's from the doll making section. I'm not sure what they are called, plastic eyes I guess? They are just little black beads with a flat back and I super glue them on.

@beybladerchris584 I suggest trying to find another tutorial. But I can explain the best I can. Basically you fold in the raw edges of the opening then catch a bit of one side of the opening then a part of the other and pull it tight. Keep going until is closed. Idk if this will help, I'm not that good at explaining in words D:

And yes, old clothes will work fine, but thin flexible fabric like that normally works better with a sewing machine, felt would probably work better when beginning because its stiffer and won't slip. But if you are diligent I think it will work fine :) Good luck!

@laurenchen333 You have to glue them on. They aren't beads, they are little plastic eyes with a flat side.

@Bunnychanx3 When you sew you put the right sides of the fabric towards each other and then sew. Then you flip it so the right sides are now on the outside. This way the raw edges don't stick out and it looks clean.

@Bunnychanx3 Okay, lol, so lets say you have fabric where one side has flowers and the other side does not. The flowery side would be the "right" side. That way when you sew and turn the whale "right" side out, the flowers would show on the outside. Did that help at all?

@lynnclover1206 Oh no! You can use a good marker, paint, plastic eyes, embroidery, or even felt! I use the plastic eyes mostly, but I've embroidered and used felt before too. The felt is easy especially when you just super glue it on like I do lol.
