I hear them all the time. I use to think they were tree frogs, but I recently found out what tree frogs sound like and it is not this! I've been trying to figure out what these are, this helped thanks!
Yeah they do sound like frogs! I've went out and climbed all the way up a tree at night before to find one of the things, but when i got up to it and shined the light on it, it took off and was gone!

the chorus sounds like frogs or something, rather than katydids. lol
