  • I can enjoy this because i am not bound by a belief and fear

  • The Vedic tradition is scientific and has evolved over the ages assimilating the techniques delivered by Rishis.

It is the most practical approach to enlightenment yet, known to man.

Im happy and glad that this tradition is alive and well through Swamiji

  • @kjvyas Well, we all have our own preferences for things. Diversity is what makes existence so interesting. What would you like him to wear? Whom would you like him to conform to? I just listen to his ideas. I don't notice what he's wearing. It's none of my concern.

  • is there a need for such a grand institution? Nithyananda seems very spiritually inclined, however, the institution of it all dissuades me

Buddha felt religious institution served as a block for the realization of one's self

  • So I wonder where Lucid DReaming would come into play? Would that be a good thing? The waking state penetrating the Dream state?

  • we as humans require balance in our lives, a yin-yang, always. without balance we cant live to our full potential. our brains are thinking and active during the day, while at night, they fluctuate btw deep sleep and the dream state. we need this deep sleep because it is the polar opposite of active thought. having both creates this balance, and consequentially allows for u to be rested the next day.

meditate. be disciplined and do it every day. you will notice how easy it can be if u do this.

  • Namaste,

I have one question which i have been wondering for quite somtime. when we are in deep sleep where does our awarness/ cociousness go ? why cant we feel anything. Please answer

    Thank you .

May all of us experience bliss ,Nityannada

  • God's Gifts for us are Fantastic

  • you are like art to my eyes...you are so beautiful inside and out....

  • man this guy is god. WOOOW

  • I completely agree with you 100% MsTweeter

  • this guys brilliant-2 say the very lease

  • All our love to you, Swami ji!

  • Man seeks his own not himself. Even bigger question if the brain dies, why don't more people get rid of it through meditation.

  • Is there some ridiculous reason why we don't have brains that are built that way? Why do we have to 'do' anything? A robin does not have to figure out how to pull a worm out of the ground. We should not have to figure out how to pull out our worms.

  • Why not pull..

  • The same reason a dog does not know how to pull worms from the ground. It's not in his nature, he has to be taught.

  • Intelite, we are blessed with minds that can do incredible things like create beautiful paintings, save lives with a scalpel and understand the depth of wonder which the universe holds . The trade off is that such a mind is easily screwed up. The robin cannot do these things, so it's mind is not so easily ruined.

  • That's quite a leap of logic to go from Large mind = Screwed UP Mind because a robin's mind is not screwed up and a robins' mind is small in comparison.

  • It doesn't seem like much of a leap to me. The higher you build a tower, the more easily it can topple. Similarly, the higher you raise a consciousness, the more easily it can descend into chaos.

  • It doesn't follow known examples. Our gurus don't easily fall into chaos once they enter full consciousness. They say they 'lose the mind'. I don't think the mind enters consciousness or consciousness enters the mind! Rather consciousness is a transcendence of mind. So, that said, other big minds include whale and dolphins and they don't demonstrate the chaotic self destructive minds that we do. The premise of a syllogism must be true for sound logic to folllow. (tower example)

  • Indeed, the Guru's do not fall precisely because they have 'lost the mind'. In other words, for them the tower is obsolete, so there is nothing left to topple. For the rest of us however, toppling is all too easy. While animals such as dolphins and whales have advanced minds, I do not know of evidence that they can reflect upon the self as humans do every day with ease, along with many of the things I mentioned previously that humans can do.

  • Hmmm, I think animals don't have a consciousness battle, they don't use the mind like we do so they aren't separated the way we are. I still don't think an intelligent mind need to be screwed up for 'balance' as you originally stated. I'm stating it now. I WANT ENLIGHTENMENT DESPITE THE MIND, lol.

  • Yes I agree with you. I didn't mean to imply that it was necessary for humans to have chaotic minds. I think we as a race will evolve beyond it eventually, as long as we don't destroy ourselves along the way. I hope you achieve realization and wish you the best on your journey.

I am going to see Swamiji tomorrow for a discourse and darshan tomorrow here in Toronto and am very much looking forward to it!
