in Isaiah(42:1) 1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
So there is no more obvious statement than this one. As God has clarified this truth that he is a slave of God and God has placed his spirit on him to support him like the other prophets.
@43pace Well i sure can recognize many faces here. Miss them all. I became Orthodox in this very church... well, back when it was on lighthouse lane, and then helped to move it there to G-3 of Cambridge Park. I must admit i was curious to not see Ruth in this video. God Bless!
@IoanShoji Please do. Last week we had Father Irenei Steenberg at our annual outreach seminar. Any week is a wonderful experience, but I think our Sundays with BBQ's, the annual fall seminar (first weekend in November), and the Pascha season are probably the best times to come visit. Please come!
And, BTW, even though we are Antiochian, the choir is Russian style. Remember, we are a convert parish from the EOC so our grafting into The Church is a little...different.
My children and I cannot stop playing this video! To be honest, my Favorite part of this hymn is watching Father Wayne and Deacon Tom sing along in the front of church :)
Truly, this is so beautiful... Thank you Choir for all your hard work!
You guys are fabulous! I never get tired of listening to you on any song, but especially this one. I fear it is a long dry spell until Pascha 2011. :-((
Wonderful!

Does anyone know who wrote this? I'm looking for it in the original language.
Is it Serbian or Russian?
There was a good version of it on Youtube but it's been removed.

Very beautiful. Although the style of singing is very classic early 20th century Russian style, I like it. I would like to visit your church someday.
