im not sure what everyone is talking about, the derivative is indeed 2x.. Just use the power rule. 2 comes down in front of x and then minus the 2 by one. which equals 2x....
Dr. Carter, at minute 3:28 does the -x0 squared? I am not trying to be condasending but I am confused on how the x0 squared would cancel if it wasnt. Thanks graphs help me greatly -former student

Thank you, i couldn't get anything straight. When i watched your movie i realised that i had written the newton qoutient as (f(x+h) - f(h)) / h
hehe, now it all became much easyer :)
