Any muscle car is a good muscle car but check out (rvpauto) click on the silver el camino it ran a high 12 with a little 327 and did it on 87 octane ya just got to love old american steel
AMC advertised these cars would run 14.2 off the showroom. To put that into perspective a GS455 Stage 1 would do 14.28/ 100mph under the same conditions. It was a giant killer.
i have a 68, American sedan, was trying to do something like this, and the rear end grenaded. stock 68 rear end, AMC15, notorious for that stuff i hear, what rear are you running in yours?
Great video,I tried and tried to get my dad to buy one of these, but he bought one with a 199-6 with a 3 on the tree. We were at Dick Clifton Motors on W.Broad ,Columbus Ohio.I was 12 and was reading Hotrod at the time.
chucking a burnout is like the miricle cure for bad days, whenever i rip a skid in my 383ci stroker ford xd i always feel heaps better, just the feeling of peeling off tread with brute horsepower is magical
Please note the camara was left on the ground as I had to drive the car. Please read the story that goes with the video. I was just having a little fun and yes the car will roast the tires without using the brakes.
I lived in kenosha back i the day . used to see amc's all the time I owned 3 of them. nothing that nice though. 2 ambassaders and a matador. loved those cars
you fuckin idiot this aint no mopar its an AMC which stands for American Motor Coporation mopar didnt buy out amc until the late 80s early 90s and only bought them to salvage the JEEP
ya exactly is my Auto tech (shop) class a student has a 1965 Jeep chassis, I mean an honest chassic, no modor, no axle, no gas tank, no hood, no glass, ect, just a chassis, it is mostly rusted :D
Profit you retard do you have any idea how much money they made off of that
sure they do there taxes to hide as much profit as they can but you can only hide so much oil companies profit off of the american people its like stealing from the poor and giving to the very rich

Nice car. It would look alot more impressive if it lit them up without holding the brakes.

I looked like it really wanted to jump before you hit the brakes. Does it have slicks or DOTs or some type of race tires?

Government killed the muscle car and insurance companies, too.
Why would "big oil" kill gas hogs? They WANT people to use gasoline in large numbers.
Take an economics class.
