@originaljawz the 60's were amazing but hellish at the same time. I was 17 when this song came out. Loved it then, love it now. There was a lot of pain, suffering, death in the 60s. Some of the angst of that time came through in song, some of it in other ways. I miss the 60s. I miss all those I have lost from that time. In some ways, this song makes me very sad, but it still gives me goosebumps. Glad you like the music from that time; it was incredible. Peace.

I saw this video for the first time about 2 years ago. I was very surprised that such footage existed. "Nights in White Satin" is such a beautiful song and the fact that this video was shot in Prague a day before the Warsaw Pact invasion makes it even more emotional. Someone here said that he would have loved to hear the Czech singer Marta Kubisova sing this song - I think that would be indeed awesome.

The show was called "europarty" with french presentator Albert Reisner. A version of this show exists for 1967 and 1969.Probably this show was recorded a few days before 21 august 1968...but never aired on tv because of the events. Let's hope the tchec television saved the entire show in their archive.

I am delighted to see this video! I was there as it was being shot 39 years ago. I am in that crowd of pople to the left of the band. I've never seen this because it was due for broadcast on Czech TV the same day the Russianss invaded. By the time it was shown a years or so later, I was in London. I actually shared a pint of beer with Justin that day. Thanks to the poster...now I need to find the rest of that show.
