Thx for this tutorial! In my typography class we have to make up a team logo and this gave me a few more ideas. The only problem what when you stretched the text to make it taller...I personally have to beef with that but my instructor has it dead set in his head that doing that is an unforgivable sin. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial it was very helpful.
Hi Mike, I am a beginner and I really like your videos. Can you do a tutorial on how to do text around a circle? or shape? I figured out how to do it around a circle if the text goes all the way around (which makes the text upside down at the bottom). I'd like to know how to make it so the text is upright on the bottom of the circle as well as uprignt on the top of to circle. I am trying to create a logo stamp type thing. Thanks a million! :D Love it when you upload new videos... :D
You can't tell, but they also made their text "longer"... or "taller" if you don't understand still... or even "stretched' if you still don't understand!
Just wondering where I could download the Helevetica fonts that you have. (30 thick, medium, very, extremely) I've tried DaFont and they aren't there. You have to pay $20 for a single font which is unreasonably. Just like kush said, could you please post a zip file with the fonts so we can access them? Just I'd rather not waste money where it could be spent better somewhere else.
Sorry for the essay, should've been a PM but anyway.
@KUSHALRAHA Hi, the fonts that I generally use the most would be Helvetica. I would suggest checking out the site "dafont.com" as it has a lot of great fonts there for free. ;)
lol the crooks and castles website broke pretty much every rule in the book on how not to piss people off: intro clip, music playing in the background and some of the font is quite difficult to read
@AussiePolitics Sadly, the client's wants are more important than something actually being usable by their audience lol. I always try and tell people that stuff like that is a big no no because it just pisses off your audience and most will leave without ever seeing what you want them to see. Only if you're brand is VERY strong or if the user really really wants to access the content will they stick around. Relate it to money and they tend to listen to you more lol.
perfect voice for these types of videos

@TalesOfWar fair enough, I guess that's why a lot of celebrities can make flash websites that take about 10 minutes to load lol
