  • I start play this game when I listen this theme.

  • Skyrim might have the most flowing gameplay, yet Morrowind had the best Story out of them, and the most usage of imagination to every aspect presented.

While in Fantasy RPG,I'll pick the old Might and Magic over Elder scrolls...The beauty of Morrowind has I first played it will always strike my memories,it's vast open and exotic landscape...Every tomb or dwemer ruin and like always-vast Lore(and the fact that if you kill Vivec no one believes you there has you tell them =P)

    I will miss those days.

  • @Wharwulif Skyrim delivered on dungeon exploration perfectly. one of the most exciting moments for me in that game was stepping into a Dwemer Ruin with turning cogs, machines, etc and seeing how it went from a 2002 to 2011 in terms of detail. And the same goes for the land itself.

While Morrowind may have that special place because it did it first. Skyrim was definitely true to form that Oblivion failed.

  • @LordVurtax Well,Morrowind is not the start, you got Arena and Daggerfall.

But I agree with you 100% on the Dungeon exploration of Skyrim, and like I said-skyrim has the most flowing gameplay, you simply can't get out of it because everywhere you go offers something interesting and tend to give a story of it's own...Amazing game indeed.

Oblivion was fun to play, but it repeated itself rather badly...and it can't be compared to Morrowind or Skyrim at all.

    Morrowind=Mainstory,Skyrim=Amazing Gameplay.

  • @Wharwulif Well yeah there is Arena and Daggerfall but from what I understand both of those games are completely just randomly generated. Though if that doesn't apply to dungeons I apologize for the ignorance. I obviously have yet to play either of them despite being available as freeware.

  • @LordVurtax Actually,I tried to play them,but...I just could not!

I mean,I would play Might and Magic 6-8 freely with their graphics...but looking at Daggerfall and arena ruins my eyes.

But,while playing them-those games are HUGE,they are made for HARDCORE Rpg player who wish to have endless places to explore and endless mission to have, while having some main mission which they don't have to follow much. But for True RPG feeling I prefer good old Pen+Paper+Dice then those Eye-killing dungeons.

  • @Wharwulif Ah, well obviously you know that what I meant by Morrowind as the start as in the start of the handcrafted world design rather than randomly generated.

  • @LordVurtax Ohh,missed that point then =P

Well...morrowind did not start this, has there were enough exploration RPG that have fixed world and only once in a while regenerated enemies,but...Morrowind is the start of an incredible looking heavily detailed and highly imaginative and fantastic world that you can interact with nearly everything there, and with an advanced style of Learning-by-doing,with great story line and side quests...overall just amazing-it also thought me to read/write English!!

  • @Wharwulif Gah I need to work on how I explain things.

I meant just for the Elder Scrolls Series itself rather than the entire game industry. But yeah that's definitely true about Morrowind, and really cool that it gave you a good enough reason to learn another language. Wish there was a game cool enough in say Spanish so I could get that crap out of the way so the college I want to go to would take me.

  • @LordVurtax ohh,they yeah =D

Actually that's a fantastic idea-make games in specific languages, and have within them such a superb gameplay/story/side-stories that it will Force you in a way to be encouraged to learn a new language...kinda good system for teaching stuff =D

If this would be taken seriously by any education system, you would see a rise in attention for language, has kids try to solve the game, and need to understand what it say-and they listen to the teacher in class to get it =D

  • @LordVurtax And not those crappy "learning only" games, but games that offer adventure, quest, mystery and so on instead of some dumb thing...

RPG is a great tool =D

  • The best thing about this soundtrack its because skyrim is a remix of this just listen to it. :)

And the logo in the middle = Skyrim logo of a dragon

  • Skyrim is our school, Oblivion is our playground, but Morrowind... Morrowind is our home.

  • @Z3r0K1ll4h so damn true.

  • Morrowind was my first RPG ever, and I couldn't truly appreciate it. I was too young. It's been like 10 years now, and I always regretted not using this game to its fullest potential. I love it.

  • anyone notice how skyrim copied this soundtrack exept with the shouting voices in the backround?

  • I felt Im being touched by Nerevar and shows me how he was betrayed by the tribunals, how he has been resurrected and came back to make things right.

  • best theme for a game ever

  • man this game and oblivion was just to complex and overwelming, but they really were bad ass games even tho the graphics was shit back then. you had to really watch what you were doing or your character would suck balls. and quit talkin shit on skyrim, the combat is fucking awesome and i love cutting motherfuckers heads off and robbing people blind. its still massive just about everyone you encounter has a quest.

  • My quest as a RPG player started years ago with this game, and nothing has stopped me yet! Arrows in the knee? Bah!

  • Anyone else notice this music is VERY similar to the Skyrim theme?

  • @mrtnun7 lol they share the same nightime theme too

  • @mrtnun7 Not too much. The Morrowind theme, is an orchestra while Skyrim theme is a choir.I think it's that. :~

  • @mrtnun7 Nooo. The Skyrim theme is VERY similar to Morrowind's, as was Oblivion's.

  • I played Morrowind Oblivion and Skyrim but Morrowind even if its old its still awesome on some aspects like levitating and jumping man that was some fun moments! Also i made potions with 4000 levitations i practicaly pass trough walls. Also killed Vivec and Dagoth Ur 3 hits even with hand thx to the potions :P

  • lol wtf Ubisoft have with music? Thats what write in your description. Music is from Bethesda and ZeniMax, there is not Ubisoft. Jeremy Soule maked music for them (game) where he work.

  • zajebista gra i muzyka

  • My tribute to Jeremy Soul, one of the best Computer-Game-OST-Componists ever

  • That song give you a sense of FREEdom and PRIDE !

  • @paokpunknationalist: amen bro.

  • for anyone looking for more Morrowind, try the Tamriel Rebuilt expansions, Telvannis and Antediluvian Secrets. The quality is amazing and they're as big as a Tribunal and Bloodmoon

  • Best theme of the series. Oblivion's and Skyrim's can't hold a candle to this.

  • @TwitchingCheese: Hell, Oblivion and Skyrim can't hold a candle to Morrowind in general.

  • epic

  • Skyrim pales in comparison to Morrowind.

Move aside, Dragonshit. The Nerevarine was the last truly epic hero in this series.

  • Would make a great funeral tune (no sarcasm).

  • Comment removed

  • Jeremy Soul isn't a human.

  • if there was any symphony i would goto it would definitely be an elderscrolls based one

  • I love how you can hear aspects of this song in the Skyrim theme :D

Elderscrolls has some darn good themes, they need to play them more in game!

  • THE ELDER SCROLLS GAME IS ONE OF THEM THAT HAVE THE BEST MUSIC IN THE GAMING WORLD!!!

  • @Andizermo dont foret about mgs !!!!! they had awesome songs

  • @lbkid1000

    Oh Yeah Sure :)

  • WE WANT IT IN SKYRIM!

  • morrowind in 2011 would be the best!!!! :D

  • Screw liberating Skyrim with the Stormcloaks.

    Morrowind for the Dunmer.

  • what i would give to have morrowind made in 2011 instead of skyrim......

  • @xxxAidsxx same they should do nothing but upgrade graphics fix some stuff and maybe tweak a few things i hope they dont add a fast travel option unless via stilt strider or whatever there called and maybe add a compass but not quest markers unless im stupid and there already is a compass

  • Best game ever, even Skyrim cant match it (4 me)

  • @OkamiDennis At least the soundtracks can't ;)

  • @OkamiDennis skyrim beats it for me

  • @OkamiDennis skyrim is comparable

  • @OkamiDennis I'm hoping one of the Skyrim Expansion/DLCs is a return to Morrowind. While I love Morrowind as a place and it's quests etc. I prefer Skyrim's gameplay, mostly the combat system.

And Vvardenfell would just be beautiful in Skyrim's graphics.

  • BEST-GAME-IN-THE-UNIVERSE

  • Nerevar forget ;_;7

  • Elder Scrolls all the way, I love every thing they do. And soon SKYRIM.

  • song is called "Nerevar Rising" by the way.

  • Such an epic game even years later.

  • Totalbiscuit used this in one of his live streams.

  • I know that everyone's gonna hate me for posting this, but I've never played Morrowind. But this theme is just so damn epic, the best one I've ever listened to. I am looking forward to play Skyrim and I promise, that I'll play Morrowind, too. But first things first. As a newcomer to this I'd like to play Skyrim first...

  • just bought the game and the music is just great.

i love the game its realy realy detailed.

guys i have a few words for the one who dont have this game yet.

    buy this game!

its awesome its first person fighting just great.

thumbs up if you like the elder scrolls 3 morrowind

  • @lloollmmaann1234 Its nice to know that there are people who still buy that game :)

  • @lloollmmaann1234 dude get skyrim it came out 11.11.11 i played morrowind when i was a kid when it came out and now haveing HUGE fun whit skyrim

  • @lloollmmaann1234

your gonna love the expansions and the storyline of the Vvardenfell one.

  • @lloollmmaann1234 If you can find it and if you got it on PC, you should get the Morrowind 2011 mod/overhaul. it's amazing and makes the game (one of my top 3 favorite games of all time) even better...just my opinion though. haha.

  • Ugh, I used to love the game, but it's too hard for me to go from Oblivion's graphics and animation and all to Morrowind's. It's a great game, no doubt, but it's too hard.

  • This game is so epic! The possibilities were endless and game play so smooth and so fun! I was a little disappointed with Oblivion to be honest, seemed too focused on graphics and seemed too easy to play. But I am sure Skyrim will make up for it! This soundtrack is going into my iPod!

  • I have never played Morrowind, but this music makes my desire of playing it a lot greater! :D

  • Morrowind, not only the best game of all times, but probably the game with the best soundtrack off all times. If that is not enough I will say that this is the only world inside a game that I will be happy to live in.

Long live Morrowind! Long live Nerevarine!

You will always be in my memory

  • beatiful..

  • oblivions the best

  • Sounds like a black person made this song.

  • @scrotesmcgee lmao

  • @scrotesmcgee where the fuu did you get that??? What is this supposed to mean>???? This is the best comment ebar! LOLOLOLOLOL

  • EPIC GAME

  • Best soundtrack of the series.

  • oblivions better though

  • When i played this game i wasnt in reality anymore. it sucked me in its fantasy.

The best rpg i played in my life...

and i thought this game would never end. i think i played it 2 months with all the expansions. ( but i made almost all of the side quest to be sure that this dream doesnt end)

  • just for this music to be played i feel like saving the world and then play this music!

  • oblivions da best

  • i think oblivion is better den morrowind

  • Elder Scrolls will be around for so many more years to come. It has already withstood the test of time. It does well no matter what generation of console is out at the time. Way to go Bethesda! May every one of you're games be turned to gold. We'll turn a blind eye to "WET" and "Brink" though =P

  • @JaredMorales1992 WET was the kind of game where you could have a blast on the first playthrough then never touch it ever again.

  • @JaredMorales1992 Wel they were already in a big project when they released WET an Brink, those were just half assed games to get more money to go twards everyones favorite RPG, TES

  • anyone notice the dragon in the middle of the triangle is the one for skyrim?

  • @slacker19j If you want a fun fact, the dragon is the symbol for Akatosh. In the Elder Scrolls world, it's the head of the Nine Divines, a pretty important group of gods in the game.

  • Dagoth Ur, Almalexia, and Hircine all disliked this because it was played while they were slaughtered by the Nerevarine.

  • Never played the ES series, but the music sure sounds great!

  • @antred11 PLAY IT!! This music traps you into the game

  • The Empire is what keeps the darkness away. Without it, the world would crumble.

  • @TheOPwarlock: The loss of a few provinces won't kill it.

In fact, as far as I know after the Oblivion Crisis all nonhuman provinces broke away, with the exception of Morrowind, which was (dammit) conquered by Black Marsh.

  • It's impossible to be a true ES fan if you haven't played any ES game before Oblivion.

  • @Crumblicous no it isnt, because the heart of the series is still there despite a loss of some features

  • @Crumblicous i still found morrowind the best.

  • The only thing I never understood why can't you choose to kick the Empire out of Morrowind.

freedom to the Dark Elves, man

  • best soundtrack i luv all the elder scrolls mostly oblivion

  • ur goin to hear dis song wen u go to heaven

  • DAMN! REMEMBERING OLD TIMES!

  • I especially love how they revamped the Morrowind theme for Skyrim! It'll be a very good blast from the past, won't it?

  • This game is the first and last game I was truly drawn into. Today games are great, but by the 3rd quarter of the game you are just looking to finish it and get it over with. Not Morrowind, though.

  • Somebody call the Imperial Guards I just

Killed,Raped, and Looted the like Button in all my playthroughs.

  • I wont this to be play´d at my funeral....

  • @MyBeggi Me too

  • @MyBeggi And everyone would think, "what a nerd!" :D

  • @MyBeggi same i will put that in my will that this song shall be played at my funeral

  • Anyone else notice a strong similarity to He's a Pirate by Hans Zimmer?

  • @MungusSr your right

  • @MungusSr your right i see it to

  • There may come many more Elder Scrolls, all of them amazing and strong, but we old ones will never forget the past.

    Well done Bethesda.

    Farewell dear Morrowind.

  • Best soundtrack of any game or any movie to this day. Simply amazing.

  • Damn it! Your comment reminded me of Morrowind so i just ordered to game of the year edition of amazon with all the expansions for £10.

Family, don't expect to see me for a couple of weeks. :D

  • 3 dragos died from the shock of skyrinm and are now dislikeing all elder scrolls vidios

  • SKYRIM WILL BE THE GAME OF THE DECADE JUST LIKE THIS ONE WAS :D

  • @Ko878MBat

oblivion beat morrowind by several leagues xP

  • @muffycalle i disagree morrowind had worse graphics worse combat but more factions more side quest more weapons bigger world more armour all in all a bigger more custimisible world oblivion is my fav game but i also see that morrowind is better

  • @rickyirishman the world is not bigger, it is smaller. However you move more than twice as fast in oblivion making it look smaller.

oh yeah and fast travel ^^

  • @TrueMatamune no sorry morrowin is the second biggest elder scrolls world made

  • @Ko878MBat i would not be so sure about that since fast-travel and GPS from oblivion are also used in skyrim. imo those two were the most gameflow-breaking "features" oblivion had to offer :( but ofc i hope skyrim is going to be great :)

  • @scornie Indeed Skyrim use the GPS but there is no longer quest mark. And you can play without Fast Travel \o/

  • @SekundesCCFFVII Are you sure about the quest mark being removed? It would be very nice indeed, i don't mind the rest of the GPS. Well, and concerning fast travel, they announced that some sort of carriage system will be implemented, which would be great if it's comparable to morrowind's. I'm just a fan of authentic fast travel that is integrated into the world; i'm not a fan of walking from Seyda Neen to Dagon Fel / Anvil to Cheydinhal because i don't want to use the map-fast travel :)

  • @scornie I'm pretty sure yeah :)

  • 8----------D~~~~(o)(o)

  • 3 people take my 3

     8---------------------------

  • 3 people don't understand the true meaning of these games...

  • my first RPG... thankfully... it is waaayyyy better than WOW show those little Warcraft junkies that this is the best RPG ever (thumps up ;D )

  • @Altair7788 cant really compare a console RPG with a PC MMORPG.

theres a lotta difference in approach when making a single player game as compared to making a game a SHITLOAD of people will play.

  • @Altair7788 My first ever game but actually never finished it xD

  • @Altair7788 tell me...what is NOT better than WOW ? XD

  • @Altair7788 i agree with u that morrowind is an aweswome game, but wow is a fantastic game too. u cant really compare them becuase one is online, the other isnt, and the playing styles r extremely different. its not like battlefield and call of duty

  • @AX3400 yeah this was my opinion 5 months ago i totally agree with you that RPG's and MMORPG's are different worlds

  • @Altair7788 WoW is an MMORPG. This game coud not be an MMORPG until graphics today were average graphics.

  • @Jones16Teen This can't be an MMORPG because it's not online

  • the first elder scroll game i falling in love with!

  • i sit in the title screen until this song is over in order to prepare myself for the upcoming awesomeness

  • That 1 person doesn't have a soul. :(

  • N'wahhhh!!!

    Guards!! Guards!!

  • Works better than viagra :D

  • ffs hate that 1 dislike-.- why cant it just be 100% likes...

  • Comment removed

  • God this is so nostalgic. I wasted my youth on this game.

  • @musicalpony wasted? I was 7 when i played this game, I still play it. Every moment on this game has been simply amazing. I love Morrowind <3

  • The most epic title music for the most epic rpg of all time! I hope Skyrim will be as good s this game ore even better...

  • such a sad song, but its a happy relieving, releasing saddness.

  • Im afraid ladies and gentleman the time of great RPG story telling and gameplay is coming to a close... too many developers dumbing down games now..so sad :(

I hope skyrim surpasses oblivion in every way.....i also hope witcher 2 is a great game...bioware im sorely dissapointed.

  • @clovelywindheaven If you're referring to how Skyrim only has three 'stats' to level, they're simply streamlining things instead of dumbing down. Like Todd says its redundant to level Intelligence to increase magicka, why not just increase majicka? Of course this will have I bet some affects on things like leveling Luck, Agility, Endurance, Willpower, etc., which I'll miss doing but it will hopefully be for the best.

  • @LWStupidus thats a good point ye..but my comment was talking in general..rpg's are getting more streamlined for the console idiots..*sigh

  • oooh the memories...

  • great ... this is so epic i want to buy a sword now

  • wow, ppl were right about this theme being far more epic than the oblivion's theme...though they are similar in melody..but man this is just too epic

  • All Nations of the world should come to at least one agreement; TES: III Morrowind is a magical experience of bad graphics with some of the best writing I've ever seen in my life. With graphic mods it's downright orgasmic and should be categorized as a lethal dose of moonsugar injected straight into your Bunglers Bane.

  • 1 person in an asshole...end of story

  • Future World Anthem right here.

  • 2002, back against the heating, drinking beers and play this till 4 am...

close to the Shenmue experience, close...

  • i proclaim skyrim to be the almighty COD killer and when its done with arse fucking cod its gonne cock slap WoW

  • @TheGRAclan Grossley effevtive lol

  • @TheGRAclan *facepalm* you cant compare a FPS wth a RPG !!

  • @tarnvogL its not about the what the games are its about how big they are

  • @TheGRAclan even then you can't compare a linear level SP with an OpenWorld SP

  • @TheGRAclan I dont understand alll this hate of other games...I play COD, Civilization, Settlers, Mass effect, The Elder Scrolls, Battlefield, Need for speed.....and 1 more thing....how can you compare FPS and RPG they have nothing to do with each other

  • @wakuzaki you can because FPS involve minimal thinking, you just shoot and don't think about how that will affect your game, but with RPG's every action has a reaction. And RPG's gennerally take longer to produce, unlike the recent COD games which have been knocked up faster than a slag on a saturday night.

  • Comment removed

  • i played this game 8 years ago but i can still hear that morrowind footsteps when i hear this music :D

  • I NEED SKYRIM!!!!

  • this is where it all began for me, thanks bethesda for creating the best game series known to man. RPG ftw

  • People without souls are accurately described as zombies and or demons without all the decay and the craving for brains for zombies, or, in the demon's case, the need to fuck with our lives. Zombies do not inherit the right amount of intelligence it once had when it was a human to make a youtube account. This dislike, my friends, was caused by a demon.

  • ONE person does not have a soul

  • wow i doubt ive ever seen a video with this many views and no dislikes this is how epic it is =D
