The U.S. should be looking for alternatives right away because oil is one of our biggest national security threats. Two: If are still dependent on oil in the next 25 years, the U.S. will never allow Russia or any other country to control the oil production or the oil market. The U.S. has a very firm grasp on it now and will not let go anytime soon.

@itisaduck Unfortunately, I believe you are right. I plan to vote for Ron Paul, or at the very least write him in if I'm allowed to. And most of the economic crisis that has been occurring since 2008 and contractions with it have started again as of late July/August of 2011 is still a reality. The threat IS real. I have been stockpiling food, water, drink mix, medical supplies, and hygenic items since early August. We have guns and ammo here, too. I'm not letting this disaster take me down.
