Google Meastro effects history and read about Tom Oberheim and the history of the ring modulator. This Q thing is not a ring modulator. Don't even know if it's a modulator period. So my reason for responding to this post ( advertisement?) is that someone should reintroduce the ring modulator as it was imagined by the folks at Maestro. The 'Control Voltage [CV] In' made this pedal extremely dynamic and interactive with other sources. Ironically, these days digital is designed in a straight line.
This sorta sounds like an incomplete or Beta version of his song "Gulf", doesn't it? Considering it was released a month after this was, i'm thinking it could be :D
to many times i have purchased a peddle found 2 sounds that take weeks. EH peddles can enhance even mediocre players and Junky Guitars sound great. I am a bass player that was handed a guitar (the Town bike of Guitars) with shot pickups crap for stings. but with the big muff i faked being a Guitar player for 3 shows. i happly went back to my place as a bass player but learned my lesson about how good EH pedals were.
always great demo's that make me feel like i understand the peddles instead of hot shot guitar player ripping it up on a 25,000$ rig with special cords and all the kit. then he plugs whatever peddle in and of coarse it sounds good. broken symbols and used gear like the people who might invest in the peddle would use. love the videos
fwiw, the Enigma (ie, bass) video went up at the same time as the Riddle video -- search YouTube for CrmrA0LwEUk and you should see the Enigma video listed in the search results.
That's Jack Conte alright. He will make great music out of anything.

nice! but, as most pedals, completely useless if you are not able to play very VERY good!
jericho667 2 years ago
Well ... Even a guitar is useless if you can't play, isn't it ?
