I’m Polish, I have few Jewish friends, some of them are descendants of Jews killed in concentration camps. My great grandma hid in her house (in a basement to be exact) 2 of her Jewish friends for 9 months during 2nd WW risking lives of her 8 children. Then she helped them escape. She is not one of the “Righteous among the Nations” and probably not the only one.

Sorry but until the 18th century there where FORCED in most european country to live in enclosed areas like in Venice where the name getto cames from. I can only speak for Germany, but in the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century a lot of jews view themselves at least as much as German as as Jews.
