  • pretty sure this was released in 97. i remember because i worked in a comic book store at the time and stole this from the shelf :D

  • 8:19 thats 'go with the flow'

  • so based on the video of heli gracie saying, the way rickson counts his fights for his record is a joke, and that he counts sparring matches at fights.... that means that he just lost a fight at 0:33 as he gave up and tapped out to a kid. so thats 400+ (supposedly) and 2. one by ron tripp and the other by whoever the fuck this is.

losing your edge rickson. oh and what excuse do you have for this loss?

  • Loser at 3:48

  • shazam bitches!

  • lol imagine parents doing tickle holds on you like that, it would have been torture if i was a kid

  • o rickson ganhou todos campeonatos que disputou, o chuck norris não aceitou desafio cotra os gracies porque rickson não pode se negar a lutar com outro lutador qualquer.

  • im 698 and 0

  • @philipee32 lol....... no shi.... I mean the man is a skilled practitioner.... but those numbers are horse shit....... u can blame the UFC in part because those faux records were used to hype and generate interest in a young, growing entertainment venture.......

  • 1 has never felt the amazing feeling during mma..

  • All bias aside, Rickson's verifiable record is 11-0, not 400-0. Out of those 11 wins, only 1 was against a top 10 opponent in Funaki. The rest were cans, all these vale tudo tournaments were full of cans. The level of competition in these tournaments was laughable and any top MMA guys today would embarrass these guys. Not saying Rickson is not a good fighter, but you'd be crazy to call him the best or one of the best in the world. And why didn't he fight Sakuraba who defeated every other Gracie?

  • @KnightBanneret dude Bas is a badass but Rickson is a warrior plus Bas's ground game is shit.

  • @monacode001

Bas ground game is shit huh?...... thats a lame statement... compared to whos?...... he would kneebar your leg off in under 30 seconds...

  • @seehound619 except kneebars and leglocks are super lame.

  • @cocksandcobras yeah...cause your couch potato ass has obviously never been put in one...... oh its lame allright.... like taken to the doctor with torn ligaments lame.....

  • @seehound619 im a purple belt in bjj . i train while you argue with people on youtube bud

  • @cocksandcobras cool story bro.

  • @monacode001 bas won most of his fights by submission.

  • @seehound619:

Those are official fights national and international over more than 10 years (to that time) no reason to cheat or make something up. Official fights must be documented, fighters weighted etc...and all must be conform to the different associations, Federations etc..rules. So there´s few room to cheat on that.

  • 398 wins and no defeats?.... really?.... REALLY?>... cmon... i love the gracies.... but that is unabashed horse shit....

  • Rickson is mad zen. He is great fighter not only because of his skills, but he knows the right mind set of the warrior and what he says makes sense out of all the Asian warrior classics such as the Book of Five Rings and the Unfettered Mind.

  • HELLO EVERYONE!!! COULD YOU TELL ME, WHERE CAN I FIND THIS MOVIE? CAN IT BE DOWNLOADED ANYWHERE? THANKS! :-)

  • i have this on vhs from way back when !!! fantastic documentary !

  • Was that Kron as a little kid? That was almost a bit too saccharine in contrast to Vale Tudo 95.

  • 400 wins, hahaha. Even his dad says that's bullshit. Competing against your own students do not count!

  • the problem with the gracies is that they are all too small. you can't do a lot of shit when you're small.

  • @judgerofwars problem with your post is... its retarded..... u cant make alot of sense when u are retarded..... Royce won the first couple UFCS..... and every fight was against someone bigger then him....stick to talking about things u actually know about.... if there are any..... umkay?

  • That's right Rickson. Punch those fools in the face while you do abdominal breathing yoga style.

  • everyone talks about when they first saw Mark Coleman unleash GnP, or Tito. No one ever mentions Rickson's GnP. It was unlike anything I'd ever seen at the time, in terms of the accuracy of his strikes on the ground, and the almost abnormal strength of his blows. It's especially strange when you consider that his stand-up striking skills are, literally, laughable.

  • rickson was ok in his time...but the Gracie was a master at promoting and marketing for popularity and profit....the level of competiton back then is nothing at all compare to today.....rickson would not be as good if he was competing today...he s too one demensional for todays competition...bjj alone doesnt cut it nowadays...im not taking anything away from him..he s a master at what he does..which is bjj...

  • @ansane what do you mean with the level of competition back then wasnt as hard as today. the made 2todays" competition that hard cause every fighte uses bjj now in his arsenal. the revolutionised fighting

  • Ricksons legacy is diminished in my eyes coz apart from rei zulu he neva fought any propa fighters u could easily tell dat he was gona beat dat little blind chink in da final i would hav loved 2 see him fight todd hayes dat would hav been a propa fight 4 him but i know he would have won despite dis hes still a special fighter.

  • @apraku1000 "that little chink" as you say defeat by armbar a 250 lb 6ft 1 world wrestler...pfff tipical ufc fan for you all is easy but try to fight in a competition like this is 10000 more difficoult than the actual ufc

  • @doppiaeffe u cannot honestly tell me dat dat blind little japanese guy was gona beat rickson dont lie 2 yorself man it was so obvious who was gona win da final. whereas, royce faced guys like kimo and dan severn now they were propa tests not dat blind chink.

  • @apraku1000 whats up with the "chink"...why it gotta be racial...you kno if u say that to some "chink" out in the street it wouldnt be pretty...im telling you man...Asians the only race that people will make fun of and get name callin even though they re inoccently standin on the sideline..

  • @doppiaeffe includin ken shamrock.

  • @apraku1000

He lost to Ron Tripp in Sambo anyways. As with any Gracie he had to make up an excuse claiming he didn't know the rules.

  • rickson by armbar hahaha

  • 398-0....ok then rickson hahahaha

  • r u g00d

  • riiight......

  • Rickson is my idol. He is one of the best fighters of the world. I had a lot of respect for this man. Gracie had a big knowledge and this type of human are born to fight. Some persons read the Bible. I learn jiu jitsu.

  • @qzer rickson is a great grappler,as a fighter he did nothing only fight complete novices and useless jap pro wrestlers.

  • @billysue2 man jiu jitsu is the martial arts so he is a fighter. He did nothin ? He is a legend and part of gracie family which push the formule like PRIDE and UFC to the next level. He was a World Champ, great instruktor of organisations like Gracie jiu jitsu, SWAT, FBI and Navy SEALS. He can be proud of his fatherhood and business. So i think he must be a one of the best fighter of the world

  • @qzer he stopped competing in the late 80s in bjj ,the first world champs werhow e in 96,how could he be world champ?Hes a decent coach for sure, teaching the seals or fbi means nothing, lots of clowns have taught them over the years.HE WAS NO GREAT FIGHTER HOWEVER IN MMA.

  • @billysue2 you have no idea man, go train with rickson and you will see just how good his jiu jitsu is

  • @wjat89 ive acknowledged his grappling ability, that isnt the same as being a great fighter,or even a good one.Its impossible to train under rickson,he hasnt taught at his former school in almost 10 yrs.He does the odd hugely overpriced seminar .I trained at his school in LA a few times but either henry akins or shane rice took the class, kron was a teenager at the time.

  • @billysue2 at that time, that was all there was. Who knows what he could do if he was in his prime now

  • @wjat89 YOU ARE MISTAKEN,he never fought in the ufc or anyone decent in pride,he avoided lots of big names like coleman, kerr, frye ,severn, tito, shamrock junior, ken himself and more. All those guys were active in the late 90s and many before that.THE lads he fought were beagals of the highest order.Rickson had big problems with mark shutltz when they trained and he had no sub training

  • @billysue2

shultz is a high olympic level wrestler and got rickson in a bad position (cadle) for like 25 minutes, after that rickson submitted him as he did to everyone.

you guys have to understand how this sport was at the beginning and rickson helped to develop the way it is today.

    thanks master rickson gracie!

  • @billysue2 lol.....i see your just another UFC fan who has no knowledge of martial arts....people in UFC dont know jiu jitsu, Rixon never fought any big names in ufc because ufc has rules and Gracie jiu jitsu was not made for rules Helio Gracie did not like compititions with rules. Actually most of Rixons fights Helio never counted as a fight because of to many rules...Helio said Rixon only won about 5 real fights.

  • @maruj666 theres no rixon, its rixon.BJJ is judo not jujitsu ,they just call it jujitsu because when judo came to brazil it was still commonly referred to as kano jujitsu.Rickson fought in the ufc at all.Helio himself said ricksons only pro fights were the 2 zulu ones and those in japan, thats about 11.All vale tudo fights have rules and refs, they arent real fights but as close as possible while being legal
