Nah we gon' keep it moving to the highway, "the strongest putting on, the week is all over like friday chilling" and then the other ?? in teh last verse is "yeah god got a number put him on the phone"
@LonelyLoner100 it reminds me of a PAC SONG! Keep ya head Up also a funky beat verses all about respecting women and shtuff very inspirational...Keep Ya Head Up is just a little better though haha sorry always gotta go with pac.
Im somewhat of an aspiring music producer, I have fell in love with all the beats in the album lasers. The producers definately did good, can anyone inform me who the producer was, or at the least the record company?
I'm just an unselfish person genuinely trying to help and speaking on the current state of our world. If I'm not part of the solution, I'm part of the problem. This is as real as it gets and if you happen to disagree, that is completely fine. We all have our own brains and can form our own ideas and express them freely :] If you do agree feel free to share/spread. It has nothing to do with me-no ulterior motives, rather just a message, a reminder :]
@funkytowngotcha dude your an idiot this album is one of my favorite albums ive heard maybe u should listen to it and listen to what he sings about, in my opinion lupe fiasco is the best hip hop artist out there right now. lupe fiasco is dirty and so is all of his songs on this track.
@PHIEagles357 As a whole this album release was weak. I'm well aware of why it's so watered down and butter soft but that doesn't mean I have to like it. After Show Goes On, the best tracks on the album are the last 5 with State Run Radio being the weakest of that bunch. Lasers is a disappointment on its own and a trainwreck next to Food & Liquor. If I was JUST hearing about Lupe Fiasco and Lasers was my first album purchase I'd never consider buying an album from him again.
What a terrible CD this is. Straight up Dance CD. This is the kind of shit you can expect to hear while shopping in a American Eagle or Abercrombie. What the hell was Lupe thinking when making this crap?
@newyorkbombers13 Please explain where I went wrong kid. I'm looking for a well thought out explanation behind why you actually think this is a good record.
Food and Liquor is something you can listen to in American Eagle or AMbercrombie. What's you point? Are you also saying that those stores don't play good music? Last time I checked I go into those stores JUST to listen to the music/upcoming artist that won't get plays on the radio half or the time. Your point makes no sense.
@Spinsane94 LMAO! Seriously...you go into those stores to listen to the music they play?? If you don't see the point then I'm sorry you clearly are accustomed to terrible music.
Hope you know I got a library of earth wind and fire, metallica, perry sledge, MJ, Barry White, Luther Vandross, Biggie smalls, MF Doom, Deltron 3030, Rush, Coltrane, and the list goes on. You sure I am "accustomed" to terrible music? Or am I someone that actually is a person with a great ear (i've been told this by even people who are inspiring music producers)? Taste of music is subjective, but one thing is true- I can tell you really don't have an open mind to music.
@Spinsane94 My mind was completely open while listening to that album. My opinion on the album isn't random. This album.. as a Rap/Hip hop album...is a joke. Soft Album trying to reach a complete different demo graphic while steering well off course.. I can tell you've thought about this with a complete narrow mind without even looking at it from the other side. Stay dumb and uneducated kid.
How can you prove that I thought about this in a "narrow minded" way? Maybe I thought about it like that, and I don't. What demographic did you think he was trying to reach? Maybe he was just doing this for his fans. And that's all that matters at the end of the day. And this album to be honest reminds me of Food and Liquor with how light the songs where, but had the same maturity of The Cool.
@funkytowngotcha So I read your comment(s) & thought I'd check your channel to see exactly what a person that made such inaccurate statements listens to or finds entertaining. NOT to my surprise, the first thing I see are a bunch of video games lol.
I assume you have ears, & I also assume you understand the purpose of music is to be listened to. With that being said, I can't understand how after listening to the lyrics of this song you can speak so negatively about it. . .& you're almost 30??
@ChuloBadGuy Where did I clown on the Lyrics of the Song? Its more then just this song. Its the CD in entirety. As stated above. Like Kayne's most recent Album...its forgettable. But I did enjoy how my age or what I've viewed here on Youtube had anything to do with what I know about Hip hop or just Music in general . Great Observation there buddy. Stay Classy.
@funkytowngotcha That's my point EXACTLY!!!! At no point did you say anything about the lyrics on the album. The beats, instruments & melodies are all just tools used to help create the art . They are just the canvas, while the lyrics & messages expressed are the actual art. To critique an album based solely on the production would be like critiquing a painting based on the canvas. . .or critiquing a poem based on what kind of paper was used to write it on. It reflects your ability to view art.
@ChuloBadGuy And I can see my point I've made since making my first post well over 2 weeks ago was...The Beats through out the entire album are trash dance beats. One of is a terrible knock off of Tupacs " I ain't mad at you". The Beats are the other half of the album. He's not a spoken word type of poet to get by on lyrics alone. So you can stop acting right away as if Lupe is some great philosopher in this rap game. He's a decent lyricist but nothing ground breaking.
@funkytowngotcha I'm not a fan of the production on this album either honestly, so I understand what you're saying. This beat though is sick, but that's beside the point. Like I just said, anyone who REALLY appreciates hip-hop & is a true fan understands lyricism is more important than dope beats. Like the homie Masta Killa said "The dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum"
@funkytowngotcha If you don't see the correlation in that analogy. . . .I'm not surprised. All I do is drop jewels, it's up to the public if ya'll wanna pick em up or not.
@ChuloBadGuy By that response I can tell you had no meaning behind it other then maybe you heard it from someone else at some point during your life and thought it might apply here...wrong.
@funkytowngotcha Actually I personally thought up that analogy sometime last year. My friends and I always get into these kinds of debates on albums. That analogy just popped in my head one day in the middle of a convo, I use it most of the time when I hear someone critique an album, but say absolutely nothing about the lyrical content & just talk about the production.
@ChuloBadGuy again your analogy doesn't fit in the discussion. As much as you'd really like for it too. It doesn't hold anywhere near the value of the discussion.
@ChuloBadGuy again there is no relevance. Canvas is Canvas. The Possibilities of Music is beyond Canvas. Again you're just trying to throw some random analogy that doesn't apply here. Just because a Painter is a type of Artist and a Rapper is a artist doesn't mean they go hand in hand. Are you really this ignorant or just stubborn at fault?
@funkytowngotcha Yes it goes hand & hand, you're just too ignorant to understand it. Or maybe you understand exactly what Im saying, but you're another youtube dork that likes to talk shit in your spare time. Either way, you're pretty ignorant bro.
@ChuloBadGuy Like I said. you're just really hoping that it does go in hand in hand when it doesn't. If it did you'd at least attempt to back it up with some sort of explanation about your opinion. You're not using a coined metaphor that works hand in hand here. You're trying to arrogantly say something that has no meaning or substance to this subject. keep playing dumb and uneducated kid,.
@Funkygotcha I've already explained it, if you don't get it hey thats not my problem. . . its yours lol. Go bicker with someone else, if you're having some kind of personal issues go take it out on someone else bro. Ok pumpkin??? take care
@ChuloBadGuy don't need anything to come back with. Anyone reading your nonsense can clearly tell you have no clue what the fuck you're talking about. You've just been speaking out of your ass this entire time.
@Funkygotcha If that were the case, why hasn't anyone said anything towards my comments? why aren't I getting sent any nasty comments? Hmmm??? lol Yet I see a couple people sending a few choice words your way? lol not to mention the other videos you've been leaving comments on & I see people telling you off as well. lol
