Outstanding audio quality on this one! And you guys are so together- best intonation I've heard from you! This is up there with Manhattan Transfer's "Boy From New York City."
For far too many years, I thought Barbershop Quartet singing was a dead art form. Now not only am I delighted that the art form in still alive and kicking, there seems to be a steady injection of new blood. In the world of thrash metal and rap, this turn of events actually gives hope. May your memories be golden, may your harmonies and rhythms be obscenely tight, and may the squeeks, cracks, honks and fnorks all be on the other guys.
very awesome! Fact: i heard this song for the first when i was like SIX or SEVEN years old!!!!....i'm TWENTY FOUR now!! my brother had a tape of "The Blenders"....a tape that i stole from him and still have to this day! SOOO happy to see this video. Great job fellas, thanks for the vid!
you are all really talented, I'm actually impressed (which is really hard to do w/singing) lol...uh so great job and keep singing! I hope I get to see you perform one day :)
Did you transcribe this music yourself from the Blenders or is there a place that I can possibly find or buy the sheet music? Its awesome. you guys really sell it! I'd also like to see about getting some of you guys's recordings as well, thanks
yea why is the bass level so low? It'd be nice to hear his pre-beats and just a general bass line (I even turned up the bass on my amp to try to hear it, but it's a bit faint.
The bass should have been a little louder IMHO. Is there is special reason for not doing the usual ending? I kinda like the punch the original ending has with the high note. I really like your mute trumpet solo :) GREAT recording guys!!
@sgtsonny Thanks Sonny! Yeah, after all the mixing the bass "dmm dmms" could totally be louder. Oh well lol. The reason we did a softer ending was because Danny didn't feel confident in getting that high pitch and he felt it might ruin any takes we did, so we played it safe. It probably would've been funny with the video, but if people are just listening to an mp3 it's probably safer to do what sounds best and not too risky.
