  • I JUST got a $166 ticket for " not wearing my contact lenses " , even though I had my glasses with me, and a $116 seat belt ticket. I was not speeding, driving erratic, or anything. The cop targeted me , because I am a decent looking man and was wearing my sunglasses, which he probably stereo-typed me as a punk, etc.. This law is nonsensical. OF COURSE it should be optional! They want the money!! The cop that pulled me over wrote those two tickets and was gone in less than 6-7 minutes.

  • Milton Friedman - Helmet and Seat Belt Laws----watch this on youtube

  • Google--- NMA Testimony Against Primary Enforcement

  • Yes we need a "no mandatory seat belt law" organization!

  • The Florida legislature sold out their constituents for a $35 million dollar bribe from NHTSA. NHTSA has people assigned to post comments attacking people who oppose seatbelt laws. The police love seatbelt laws because they get to share in the grant and fine money and it gives them an excuse to pull people over and harass them. Seatbelt have maimed and killed thousands of people and never saved anybody.

  • @safetychoice "Seatbelt have maimed and killed thousands of people and never saved anybody." GET REAL BODY! You proving of your know nothing about safety

  • this primary infraction law for seatbelts should be attacked on a constitutional level...police can pull over anyone they think is not wearing a seatbelt, now they have their foot in the door to start looking for evidence of other situations. cops love it but it gives them too much power

  • Mona Lisa seatbelt.

  • Seatbelt are not just for you! Like if i care you're end up paralyzed or kill yourself and your children!

This is about remaining in your seat so you can control your still moving vehicle after a bump or minor impact. Seatbelt hold you on the seat so a loss of control don't toss you away in the car if thing turn bad, resulting in a dead-on collision.

A relative of mine been seriously injured because the other driver been toss to the passager side after he hit a large pothole.

  • I like how she uses the "old enough to go to war" analogy...as if the military would let her join lol. One thing she can be proud of, she was one of the first few to get that new ticket!

  • Riding a motorcycle also makes you more prone to death and injuries, is riding one ILLEGAL??

Is wearing a belt on a motorcycle the LAW ?

Then they just need to shovel it up!!!

  • @godbeliever72 I always get a kick out of seeing the riders that have their helmet hanging off the bike while they're riding...the thing is it works better on your head than as a decoration.

  • I think it should be a choice wether you care about your safety or not. seatbelts shouldnt be compulsary

  • @BlackMetalWarewolf Truthfully if you choose not to care about your own safety then you're no different than a murderer.

  • @js68fl what the fuck? thats messed up. of all comments on youtube thats one of the most convoluted ive ever read. I dont care about my own safety therefore am just as evil, or "bad" as John Frazier.

I would love to know th reasoning that comes to that conclusion. if you dont mind Explaining yourself.

  • @BlackMetalWarewolf He is just jerking off his mind for debate class. Notice how everything sound like High School debate. Seat belts was probably the topic. Just a kid.

  • @Polarcupcheck yeah, but it gives me a good excuse to start abusing a guy over the net. Theres something peversely fun about swearing at people on the net and knowing they wont be able to take action in a way thats entirely satisfying to them.

  • @BlackMetalWarewolf This kid already gets pushed around by butch lesbos at his school.

  • @Polarcupcheck Only something that random would've happened to you. Now I get it, you're a pole smoker - probably do that with your butt buddy BlackMetalWarewolf.

  • @Polarcupcheck Just a dumbass.

  • @Polarcupcheck You are gay aren't you. FAGGOT.

  • @BlackMetalWarewolf Must like blowing your buddy Polar...

  • i live in NY and I NEVER wear my seatbelt. I drive past the cops all the time and I never got any tickets yet!

  • @tatomuck18 A ticket is better than getting splattered all over the road.

  • I'll admit, the only reason I stumbled onto this video is because I just got myself a seat belt violation here in texas. And I'll also admit that I'm pissed.

But if you have even a bit of common sense, you'll without a doubt see right through this stupid shit scheme. Even if you don't want to admit because people like us are venting. Venting or not, this shit is a scheme by the government. Laws like this were passed during and around the start of our recession.

  • @Rhuna Exactly, the law in Florida was enacted I believe in around 2007. For years you had to commit another offense to get the ticket, and the ticket was only $50. Now, it is $116.00. If they wanted to make it $10, I'm almost fine with it, but now it is the same cost a serious offense. I think running a stop sign is only $116.00, too. Not sure.

  • @Polarcupcheck Get your facts straight - it became law in Florida on June 30, 2009.

  • I AGREE! I AGREE!

  • I agree with you 100%! I wear a seat belt when I feel like it which is rare. Get your windows tinted.

  • @AirJordan22 Good idea, maybe that layer of tint will stop you from flying through the windshield!

  • We need to stand up and protest this law or else they will keep taking our rights away little by little. Lets get something going to get this law thrown out

  • @jonny50979 thank you!

  • right on. i got one in ny for $135 a couple months ago. seat belts do save lives but its not the governments job to make you wear one. if the government really wanted to save lives they would end this bullshit war. but it's not about saving lives its about creating revenue

  • @erikdavis33 THANK YOU, thats all i'm trying to say

  • @erikdavis33 You are so ill-informed.

  • @js68fl would you care to enlighten me or are you just gonna continue to make dipshit vague comments trying to bash other people. you obviously got a lot of time on your hand so go ahead and "inform" me of whats really going on in the world since you obviously know all

  • @erikdavis33 Since you're obviously above and smarter than the laws of the road along with the rest of these tools, I think you can manage to get your own data.

  • @erikdavis33 That not about your life but the other life...

  • say sailorsilverstar are you puerto rican

  • @gundanout11 no im german, irish, polish and russian

  • You all need to stand up and fight. You will never have any freedom when you guys comply with this nonsense.

  • Dying for your country makes sense (arguably), but dying because of no seatbelt makes no sense at all.

If you fly through the windshield into another car, you might hurt another person, in the opposite car.

Look at the other vids, you see that if one in the car does not wear the belt, he might as well hurt others.

Of course, there are exceptions. Depending on crash scene, speed, car architecture etc. you might be better off without a seatbelt if you're fucking lucky. But I wouldn't risk it.

  • Why should anyone get a seat belt ticket when doing 20 MPH? What are the chances of dying in a car crash at that speed? Why aren't those facts reported? Seat belt laws as written are BULLSHIT. The facts are BULLSHIT. Justice is indeed blind. Deaf and dumb too. Excuses that's all it is. Excuses to collect fines. America the so called land of the free continually succumbs to a government imposing its will on us. Seat belt laws are myopic and must be rewritten.

  • @getcreamed I was given a ticket was accelerating at slowly at 30 mph in a 40 mph zone. Nobody was around me. I was pulled over and harrassed for all sorts of nonsense about where I live, what is my business in this town.

  • @Polarcupcheck One infraction here.

  • @js68fl Listen, kid, when you drive someday, then talk. We both know you don't drive.

  • @Polarcupcheck Wow - simply amazing! Through a few comments you know everything about me! For your information, I've been to and driven in places throughout the world that you probably have only dreamed of and places you probably would be scared shitless to be in. I won't hold the "kid" comment against you, I mean let's face it - we both know we don't know jack shit about each other. But hey, if a kid can retire from a distinguished military career in 6 years as of this date, then great!!

  • @js68fl So that is what you are in your mind. Ever think about being the Pope?

  • @Polarcupcheck Ever think about using common sense? Oh I'm sorry, I have mistaken you for someone that does.

  • @MaxikingWolke22 It's hopeless, you can't convince the self-righteous of anything.

  • No doubt that the tragedy you speak of with your mother is unfortunate...however, you are talking about a very small percentage that seatbelts do not save, and this is usually in the cases where the impact is very forceful because someone was driving too fast. It is a FACT that in most cases, seat belts do save.

  • 2:29 "seat belts could cost you your life"....so can McDonalds apparently.

  • ???

  • hahaha!! :-)

  • Being too big for your seatbelt isn't an excuse, maybe it's time to get an exercise regimen together, or opt for surgery. Otherwise you have no business behind the wheel.

  • Ok First of all; all i was saying is that I feel it should be an age thing, like alcohol, not a overall law meaning "you have to wear your seat belt till the age of 18" I dont have kids when i DO have them they will wear they're seat belt. If me not wearing mine but making my kids wears theres would be "worthless parenting" then i guess sitting in front of the TV drinking a 6 pack in front of the 19 year old = parent of the year. Second you had to come back and leave a second comment, wow

  • Great thinking, so when California enacts its profanity law people like you will welcome gagging in order to prevent one from cursing. Then we can be bound and gagged. Government is getting totally out of hand. You are a robot.

  • You mentioned that you're all for your kids wearing seat belts - but not you. Just WHO do you think you're kids are learning from?? Worthless parenting.

  • hi sailorsilverstar i agree with u because its your own life & its up 2 u. if u wanna die by not wearing a seatbelt thats your choice so i dont get why its againts the law

  • You're right.

    My life my risk.

If somebody devotes liberty to safety, they deserve none of them.

  • Seatbelt laws are a vestige of the nanny state, which is growing in this nation like a cancer, choking off and killing liberty.

  • 100% agree with you. Also in the state of florida, as well as many other states, you are not required to wear a helmet on the motorcycle but you have to wear a seatbelt. How stupid is that?... Just another way to squeeze out our hard earned money.

  • @CAHEKWRX The sad part is, the cops target the poor in many areas. Currently, I am unemployed, and now have a $116.00 fine hanging over my head. Because I drive an older car, and cannot currently risk purchasing a new one, I am a target. So, this seat-belt fine, which is a tax, is taxing the lowest earning portion of America. They should just up our taxes instead.

  • @Polarcupcheck Their job is to enforce the law, not to give you a break or sympathize because you're unemployed (that's YOUR problem and no one else's anyway). I'd be willing to bet that isn't the only traffic citation you've ever received. Maybe your time would be better spent looking for a job instead of complaining online about it.

  • @js68fl Unemployment is society's problem. Ever hear of the gross domestic product? You are obviously uneducated and aren't too worldly. I'll bet my driving record is better than yours. That is, if you drive.

  • @Polarcupcheck Unemployment is YOUR problem, it isn't society's problem and society owes you nothing. Get off your ass and fix your OWN problem. Word of caution, a little bit of effort is required.

  • @js68fl Little boy, you have much growing up to do. Maybe you need to do something besides fuck around in debate class. Maybe take up a real subject, like the sciences. But we all know you are just skinny puss with a big mouth; not a problem solver. Stick to things that are opinion, for sure, because you can't handle facts, and nor can you contribute to the objective development of any.

  • @Polarcupcheck For your information I have a BS in occupational safety, been there - done that. All I'm trying to do is help you have a little common sense, but it seems stupid just can't be fixed. Do us all a favor and keep your self-righteous ass off our roads, even the police have tried to convey that message more than once to no avail.

  • @js68fl More like you got a mail order diploma in b.s.. Will be funny when a lesbian cop gives you a ticket.

  • @Polarcupcheck Never heard of a mail order diploma - must be something you have and are very proud of. It'll be even more funny when you get another ticket then lose your license; you certainly won't be the one laughing last.

  • @Polarcupcheck And another here...your driving record is worse, your 2 to my 0.

  • they are conditioning you for a policestate,

search "synsafe seat belt" for my video taped encounter :D

my argument is I cannot honor dishonor,

naturally vlog will be updated as it unfolds

    THINKFREE(dot)CA

  • i understand what u mean

  • Wasn't sure if you've heard anything yet, but!

Documentation from a car dealership explaining the measurement of a seatbealt, then you can compare it with you sitting in the car, measure how far around you wit would have to go, and that should be proof that it won't fit that a judge should accept. If it really won't fit, they really have no reason to give you a ticket.

  • thanks, even if i was thin it still crap

  • This is also a freedom issue, In New Hampshire there is no seatbelt law. The only state. If you ever see their license plates they say "live free or die"

  • i meant to mention that, the freedom part, hey if you got any jobs openings im heading to New Hampshire people! lol

  • i wish it said that on oregon plates also

  • Good thing you don't live in California. There are signs every 10 miles on the freeway that say "Click it or Ticket". I bet those tickets would be way more than $99.

  • @RemixHeartMovies Holy shit. Here in Chicago too. Every mile or so "Click it or TICKET!"

  • because it was just passed thats y theyre going crazy and trying to make the quota! *huggies* for your 99 ticket yowie Xd

  • @razielmaharahi There's no such thing as quotas, especially in law enforcement.

  • *huggles* me understand alot! i use to live in Orlando FL ^^ i live in Rantoul IL now D:

  • I completely understand and I won't condemn you for that at all.

  • thank you

  • Being an EMT its scary to see people thrown from the car. However I can see your point. i have a health issue where i can easy be parlayed if that seat belt snaps i'm a gonnor.

  • Wow , honestly im surprised to hear form an EMT, let alone one that agrees. THANK YOU!!! you understand im not against them just that i shouldnt be pulled over and fined if i dont wear mine as a legal adult, children yes must wear them but ya know? thank you again

  • preach it, sister! i live in florida too and i got a ticket in March for my seatbelt too (and i'm a big girl too!) so everything you're saying is exactly what i am still ranting about!!! xD ridiculous its just sooooo ridiculous...(i waited so long to pay for it that there was a warrant out for my arrest for 2 days!) :S

but yeah...this was great! i support you 100%

p.s.s: my mom's best friend died from not being able to get her seatbelt off in time. so i've always been scared of seatbelts.

  • Best comment!!! lol thank you for understanding me. For some reason people seem to be leaving comments that sound like they are under the impression that im against them all together. IM NOT I just dont feel i should HAVE to wear it and be FINED if i dont. Have the law for like just minors or something ya know? sheesh people get what im tryin to say already will ya? lol

  • While a seatbelt saved my life [I was in a collision where I was smashed with my car], I do agree that it should be optional for adults only on the driver's preference [if the driver states for those riding in the car then everyone should wear on] or like you say, is unable to get it to fit or conflicts with their health.

  • @paprikaSTUDIOS Should it be a driver's preference? What about when that side-impact crash throws them into the other occupant and kills them too?

  • @js68fl Then that's on the driver's conscious, not mine. I am someone who requires all passengers to wear a seat belt when I am driving. Also, before you start condemning people for their opinions, also keep in mind that there are people who die from being strangled to death by a seat belt because of the type of collision they're in. While seat belts do save lives, they also can kill depending on the circumstances. And if you're so self-righteous on this mission that everyone should wear a...

  • @js68fl then why don't tackle other issues concerning seat belts such as why there are no seat belts on buses or school buses? No, instead you prefer to attack people who have opinions because it doesn't match yours.

  • @paprikaSTUDIOS I think it's safe to assume you're okay with being thrown into and killing someone else inside your vehicle.

  • I agree with you Star. My mother can't wear one and she keeps getting tickets because of it. I think that the seat belt law should be optional for adults.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!

  • Would you really prefer being DISINTEGRATED by the airbag than wear a seatbelt?
