Its those who choose not to change. Unrepentant. And feel no remorse for their course of action. I for one "was" one of those ignorant ppl thinking i could live my life i wanted. I realized i was wrong. Jehovahs way is right.
How is disfellowshipping any different than family and friends who want nothing to do with a heavy drug user? This person refuses to change his/her ways, & obviously does not care about thier health. Tell me who would want to spend time with someone who has destructive habits that could influence a family member or friend. as far as i know no one. My father in law has relapsed into drugs and sadly no one knows where he is.
I was Disfellowshiped for smokeing, I wanted to stop the habit and get reinstated, however the Elder that disfellowshiped me became involved in serious crimes committed against me involing my children. It's been 26 years now and no matter how I try they refuse to reinstate me, even when other Elder recommend I be reinstated. They're afraid I'll tell my side of the story. I have 2 daughters they destroyed my relationship with and 7 grandchildren I've never even met.
Good vid PT. You might like to update it even further. Ive seen a lot of "new light" on the subject of association of ANY sort with people who are out for whatever reason. They are tightening the nooses around the necks of the flock. They run scared from the even BRIGHTER light that is the internet, exposing them like roaches on the wall, spreading their filth and disease and ruining families. Im waiting for them to tell the sheep that they can no longer speak to EXJW spouses. Its comin.
also, Jehovahs Witnesses should stop stunning as well as shunning, particularly in football stadiums with an ex president in attendance on a 9/11 anniversary.
sometimes I feel like hanging myself because I don't know if i will be loved or what my heart condition is. I have changed so much, but I do not know how much
I know it's not fair. I know that Jehovah and Jesus love me. I must believe in that. Instead of suicidal thoughts and that I am nothing just because I am d f
I have been disfellowshipped since 2005. When i tried to get reinstated in 2011the brothers told me no..that I had to show "them" that I was repentant. Last time I checked Jehovah is the only one who can make an "estimate of hearts". I had been raised in the "truth" and am now approaching 30. I have a 5 month old daughter who cant spend time with nor see her grandparents and aunt. This is wrong and Jehovah does not approve.

Don't get me wrong: Shameful behavior shouldn't be ignored but should be punished by any group that seeks to keep its ranks relatively clean. But this disfellowshiping practice is harsh and inhuman (and often highlights hypocrisy in its half-stepping members). Further, it doesn't make someone like me want to return. Instead, my attitude is, "If you don't want to be with me, I don't want to be with you! The loss of association with someone as wonderful as me is your loss!"
TO DISFELLOWSHIPED PEOPLE: Words are powerful and can shape your reality, so stop saying that you were "disfellowshiped." That implies that someone negative was done to you -- that you were dismissed, discounted, dissed! Instead, say that you grew, or freed yourself, or gained the courage needed to stand up to millions of "family" members. If you left for noble reasons, be proud of that -- not ashamed. They didn't disfellowship you -- you disfellowshiped them!
Disfellowship is a clear sign that the cult's ideas are too weak to withstand any criticism whatsoever. They cannot prove thei case, so they simply seek to silence any dissent at all with threats. $cientologists do a similar form of censorship called disconnection. Don't join a cult with these anti-free speech forms of intimidation.
I call bullshit. I just flat stopped going to meetings. I was disowned by my mother. I was the only child who did nothing wrong "truthwise" and I am disowned. I was lied about by the elders wives as a young child. Sorry a child of 13 doesn't sleep around!
I have done nothing wrong ever but put my trust in "gods people" to treat me as a human being, fellow christian. I never was and I will never go back.
@Trynhardnark, 33 years? Wow. My heart breaks for you. My mother also doesn't speak to me unless, it seems, she absolutely has to, but this is a recent phenomenon (last 3 years, though I left the org. 20 years ago).
I was made to b a JW for 14 yrs. Mothers a JW, father isn't. They're the most hypocritical, manipulative, group of people I was around. More or less made a group of us get baptized. I disfellowshipped myself, and a friend did also. We flat out told them, this isn't the truth. Long story short, haven't talked to my mom in 33 yrs, and this is her choice.
once you will disfellowship, the spiritual connection will be cut off.so that the bro's and sis's will shun to those who were disfellowshiped.but it doesnt mean that you are not able to communicate w/ your family.whatever you are or whoever you are, your family is still be your family.but as possible as it can, your family should prevent to discuss about the spiritual.shunning is a kind of descipline.apostle paul said if the disfellowshiped one was repent w/ his sin,the elders will reinstate him.
@davejustines hehehehe hahaha hahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! You've got to be kidding me right? Although I haven't been disfellowshipped or reproved I have seen several of my close friends fall out of the truth. One of them commited suicide. The other moved to another state after her parents refused to communicate with her. Their words not mine. And then the others are cut off from their families. Disfellowshipping destroys lives. And I doubt that any of those children feel loved by Jehovah.
@davejustines "Discipline"?? How does a high-control group that causes such cruelty in the name of "discipline" be of God? Especially when the one most likely to be "disciplined" is he who simply can no longer conscientiously remain a part of said group?
As most wife-beaters, child-molesters, drunkards & pedophiles receive much kinder treatment than those who choose to follow their conscience, doesn't this give one pause?
@tofuump I agree. Try bringing up the dates that were set for the 'Second Coming' - like the one in the mid-1970's - and see if that is open to free discussion, or how up until the early 1950's blood transfusions were OK until the 'doctrine/dogma' was redefined. Disfellowshipping does happen and it is used as a means of control, nothing to do with religion. It is people politics played with peer group pressure, by cutting a person off from family and friends.
@Nyctasia I agree with you completly. One of the other weird things that gets to me is how it was taught up though sometime in the mid-50s that they should worship Jesus. Then again there is the whole issue of celbrating Christmas, which I have scanned photo of Russell, Rutherford and some of the other early leaders actually doing.
I sincerely hope and pray that there are Jehovah's Witnesses out there that are like the Bereans of Acts 17:10,11, and Check the Scriptures, especially Zechariah .2:8-13; John 2:41; with Isaiah.6:1; Genesis.19:24 John .20:28 to see if what we are saying is true, and so they can see for themselves without fear, who Jesus Christ really is.
@davejustines While I respect your right to defend what you believe, the reality is that cruel family splits are indeed caused by the shameful acts called disfellowshipping. I personally know, have close association with some Ex-JWs who have been formally told that their own families may no longer even acknowledge their existence. If you want to challenge my assertion message me privately and I will provide the evidence to you.
Very rude comment! You do not know this persons level of education or nationality....people do the best they can with what they have...you need to learn some empathy if you have been ALIVE so LONG.
@realstorm13 I have been to many of the meetings, though never a witness because of the absolute falseness of what is taught there. I personally know too many who have been treated to such hateful and spurious behaviors by the watchtower and their own families.
This is a LIE!!!! Jehovahs Witnesses shun those who have done wrong, not inactive Witnesses. I am disfellowshiped and they dont talk to me but my friend is inactive and whenever he bumps into Witnesses they say hi and ask him how hes doing. Get your facts right on why people get disfellowshipped. You are just trying to give the organization a bad name cuz youre bitter over a loved one thats dfd. Im dfd and dont get bitter but do something about it like go to the meetings
@drumkicker88 You're Dead Wrong. All my kids are adults now and have done their own research. They are all out of the Organization. I don't and never will shin anyone.
drumkicker88 I like how you're still brain washed, even I can see this and im only 18, I was also a JW and when I was around nine a elder told me that if I didnt keep up my appearances, that I wasn't aloud to be friends with his child who was my best mate this treatment was applied to my brother. He judged me striaght away for being a bad person or apart of satans army and didnt want me near his son. I was just a nine year old boy who was innocent If your not active your worldly fact i mis u tim
@drumkicker88 They do disfellowship those that are inactive. I was inactive for over a year and a half and was disfellowshipped. I did not even live in their territory anymore. They had to ask at my former address where I lived. They didn't give out my address but since they knew me they agreed to give me the letters. So wrong doing or not, you do not have to be an active member to be disfellowshipped, just baptized.
@drumkicker88 I am sorry but you really have no idea what goes on do you. We left after 15 years as we realised that what they believe is wrong. We were not disfellowshipped we chose to leave. Now our daughter and husband and grandchildren have nothing to do with us, and we were told by the elders that they would not speak to us anymore, in fact they now cross the road to avoid us. Please do not call me a liar because I am not, I now go to a Baptist Church with my husband and thank God.
That's to bad your Family does not speak to you,as I am a JW and as long as any of my Family had not gone
overboard and were just inactive Id still see them. You must be doing some things that may really bother them and we all have our own levels of comfort and tolerance :O(
@realstorm13 the light? you say the light gets brighter? But it doesn't you completly change it how many times did your founder claim the end of time1914?dont reply saying thats when jesus came to power this is an little example of changing the light. How about some of your oldest books millions living now will NOT die.People haven't had kids because of these books who are now 80 and cant have kids your blinded and controled by satan who is doing it in gods name therefor you haven't seen the light
@DiabolicPhippsy LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVENT READ ANYTHING ...AND MAYBE ONE DAY IF YOU READ...OR STUDY....YOU ARE BLINDED BY SATAN YOUR GOD NO MY GOD JEHOVAH...SORRY FOR U...READ THE BIBLE ...BEFORE U TALK...IGNORANT...
When a man in Corinth was unrepentantly immoral, Paul told the congregation: “Quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man.” (1 Corinthians 5:11-13)
) The same was to occur with apostates, such as Hymenaeus: (Titus 3:10, 11; 1 Timothy 1:19, 20)
@dxcell1 You are in a Cult! Do your research because you are supporting a Multi Billion Dollar tax Free Corporation that has caused the DEATH of Thousands of Men, Women and Children. If you can read Steve Hassans Book Combating Cult Mind Control and you can't see that you are in a Cult , then there is no hope for you. Remember those in a Cult Never Believe it. Why would God choose an Organization that even looks like a cult? Would Jesus be part of a Rich Corporation?
Well said and done. It can't be both ways...he who was sinless throw the first stone and shun wicked doers. I have seen what this religion can do to people, to families, and to the ideology of a God altogether. This disfellowshipping thing that Jehovah Witnesses do teaches conditional love among their ranks and I thought God had unconditional love for all people.
There is only one religion on the planet that could fulfill this bible prophecy:---- *** Rbi8 Isaiah 66:5 ***
5 Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: “YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame.”
The Bible does teach Disfellowshipping those that are not walking in the truth. But the society disfellowships for questioning the so called "truth." What about these "child molesting" elders?? Be real jwbible, "read the record" the society is a false religion.
Precisely: You will not listen to the Bible's instructions and refuse to accept the commandments of Jehovah God I just gave you a stack of Bible verses that make it very very clear People are offered help (as you were no doubt) and because you refused the help and were not sorry for what you did, then you were asked to leave. You knew before you were baptised the standards and then went against it, and now you lie and make false claims that we are heartless. Its you that has the problem Goodbye
Read: 2 Peter 2:2 & 1 Corinthians 5:11,13 & Romans 16:17,18 & Titus 3:10,11 & 1 Timothy 5:20 & 2 John 9-11 & 2 Thessalonians 3:14,15 You make the claim that Jesus did not do this? Read his words: Matthew 18:15-17,21,23 Yes we also help people Prior to disfellowshippng Read Galations 6:1 Apostates like you do not want to follow BIBLE instructions, prefer to practice filth in God's eyes and try to JUSTIFY it. Youre not Christians. JW's are very obedient and are serious about real Bible truth right
@jwbible I can only hope that some day one of your loved ones leaves the truth and is also shunned. Difellowshipping can happen for what you listed, and A LOT less! Like being caught talking to a D'fed person, smoking a cigarette, listening to rap music, watching an R rated movie, and a myriad of other ways. Of coarse if your a servant from the north then maybe you don't know how strict it can really be. Like I said, I hope that one day you stand in our shoes and then you can pass judgement
@jwbible Here is a bible truth that Jehovah's Witnesses disobey:- Luke 21:7-8
He said: “Look out that YOU are not misled; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The due time has approached.’ Do not go after them
This is sooooo true printedtruth. Let me have a JW show me in the Bible where Jesus shunned someone? They can't. The scriptures they use are out of context, done in a wrong fashion on top of that. No one deserves unconditional love. Everyone deserves to be loved and NO not everyone is disfellowshipped for wrong doings per someone else's comment above. On top of that, what are JW's doing lurking on this video?
@jwbible Not interested. JW's change the facts of the bible as often as people change underwear. Sorry, have seen too much to become involved in fighting with you. I will raise myself above this conversation and bow out. You can argue with others.
I dont feel sorry for apostates that go out and tell lies about us to others. The elders follow the standards of the Bible and we didnt write it, we just follow it. Of course we are hated, Jesus said so himself. Who else except us actually do this and remove people that defy Jehovah God's standards. Elders try to keep people in not remove them. Your dirty filthy language is only proof that they made the right decision. I dont feel sorry. Its you that should be sorry for whatever you did. Wake up
@jwbible Doesn't the Catholic church have a long record of excommunicating people who are not actually doing anything "filthy," as you say, but, just like Jehovah's Witnesses, merely question the leadership? Wasn't Galileo threatened with this kind of thing for showing the Earth is not the center of the universe? Wouldn't it be exactly the same for someone to get disfellowshipped merely for publicly showing a Witness teaching to be questionable?
"heartless without any soul" You are whinging and complaining about what YOU DID no one else IF you were one of us, then YOU KNEW the standards long before you ever got baptised YOU AGREED and knew it well. No one forced you to be a JW, and all your choice. So dont complain to us when you have deliberately gone against the vows you took! Try and remember that. Also: Elders disfellowship at last resort. No one wants to do this either! That means you were not sorry. Now whose problem is it? YOURS
"PrintedTruth" Its actually laughable! What "truth" have you got? In fact you have nothing. I have 7,000,000 friends. What do you have? All you do is whinge to others about things that you caused all by yourself and to yourself! Filthy langauge, and a filthy lifestyle go hand in hand. BIBLE STANDARDS are what count. If a person professes to be a True Christian then they would follow the Bible properly. At least we stick the Bible standards not like other false Christians You are the problem!
7 Millions Friends hey...Well as long as you don't get disfellow-shiped,hence the shunning will begin for you too.And you will be regulated to the back of the hall like a flee bitten farm animal for 6 to 12 months depending on how bad you were.
Maybe you should try it,do something wrong, get yourself kicked out, then come back, and then lets see how YOU FEEL after being treated like a piece of dirt. Then after you feel the power of then shun, come back and please tell us how it felt felt.
Quoting your words "fucked poor son-of- a bitch" Its no wonder that you were disfellowshipped with this sort of dirty filthy language! The elders were right! Where is Jesus Christ speak like that? Did the Apostles? NO they did not. The standards buddy boy are in the BIBLE which we did not write. We just follow it. I will say it again: "Read 1 Cor 5:11,13 "QUIT MIXING IN COMPANY..." and "REMOVE THE WICKED MAN" and 2 John 9-11 not to even have them in the house! BIBLE STANDARDS NOT WATCHTOWER"
@jwbible and you go ahead and repeat what someone else said????? No you may not have written what is in the bible but go ahead and read the scriptures under the Holy Spirit and the full chapter to understand what is being said. If you do not do as the Organization says, you will be disfellowshipped. It has nothing to do with scripture.
So tell me why you were disfellowshipped? Homosexuality? Lesbianism? Fraud? Murder? Stealing? Car Theft? Shoplifting? Sexual Immorality? ALL of these things and others Jehovah God hates, and we listen to him follow BIBLE standards and Watchtower Society are the only ones EarthWide that are serius about it! YOU KNEW IN ADVANCE OF BEING BAPTISED what YOU AGREED TO DO and then you did not. You were also offered help and counsel. Then what do you do? Go off to YouTube and false christians about it!
@jwbible you're an undereducated mind fucked poor son-of- a bitch with no heart. But in the name of Free speech I'm not going to block your comments. But if Bad associations spoil useful habits, why the hell are you regularly commenting on my video? Are you counting your time?
@jwbible How can you Judge this person? You know very well that only God has the right to judge. You can be DF'd for far less severe things like investigating the Watchtower.
You make such a big deal about the WATCHTOWER society all the time. Here is the facts. Open your BIBLE and read it. You dont lke it? Tough. Read 1 Cor 5:11,13 "QUIT MIXING IN COMPANY..." and "REMOVE THE WICKED MAN" and 2 John 9-11 not to even have them in the house! BIBLE STANDARDS NOT WATCHTOWER. Get the point? We live by it not like false christians. Also, YOU KNEW BEFORE YOU GOT BAPTISED Jehovah's Standards and you broke them, and now you dont like the discipline. BIBLE standards WE follow
It is interesting that the Romans described the Christians as a cult.
Re: being disfellowshiped think of it as when you play a game of cards, if you break the rules it's called cheating.
From my understanding JW's first study with people to see if they agree with their interpretation of the bible. When is the last time did the Catholic church excommunicate a member of their church? No wonder the church is in the state it is.
@Vicwarren711 You recall wrong. Jehovah's Witnesses are never upfront. When we call on people and they ask it we are their to "recruit" members , we always said
" No we are to share a scripture" That is a lie. Then if we can get them to study, we guide them through a Watchtower Publication which gives them just enough information with the right spin to make them think we teach the truth. Once they are baptized them they get the full effect. No wonder the Watchtower is not Truth.
@Vicwarren711 Reality stinks! People don't magically change because they join a cult. They are just controlled. In a cult members are always happy to get disciplined because they have been trained to think it's because the leader or even their God loves them. So the more it hurts the more you think he loves you. It's an evil thing.
I know someone who was disfellowshiped & later re-instated who said the discipline saved his life. You see he sadly became hooked on drugs & committed manslaughter over a fight over his stash of drugs. Happily, this man saw the error of his ways & then became reinstated as a J.W.
@Vicwarren711 So this guy couldn't get his act together without strict cult like control and this makes the cult "the truth"? Also People don't just turn from a Murdering drug dealing criminal into an innocent lamb. Now he is in among non criminal people who have no Idea what he is capable of without brainwashing control. Their naive "brotherly Love" could result in someone getting hurt. I've seen it happen.
@PrintedTruth Ever heard about Baby P story in UK? An innocent boy was tortured and killed by his mom and boyfriend. Now Jw go to jail to preach to them, to say Jesus and Jehowah loves them. How absurd is that? It is sick and dangerouse for others. If you are normal, you dont have to be controlled or told, to love you children, and so on.
This example made me firm about the truth that GOVERMENT BODY OF WATCHTOWER SOCIETY is dangeruse ruling mechanism, it is an authoritarian system.
Is it not YOUR business to know justice? 2 YOU haters of what is good and lovers of badness, tearing off their skin from people and their organism from off their bones; 3 YOU the ones who have also eaten the organism of my people, and have stripped their very skin from off them, and smashed to pieces their very bones, and crushed [them] to pieces like what is in a widemouthed pot and like flesh in the midst of a cooking pot.
The watchtower organization's shunning policie is extreme. But the most important fact is that it is not biblical. If you study carefully the scriptures that are used by the watchtower to support there shunning policie, you will easily find out they are out of context. Recently I uploaded a video (watchtower organization 7) that shows and explain the issue.
@WatchTowerMyhts You are right, but also have to poitn that the GOVERMENT BODY OF WATCHTOWER SOCIETY is responsible for the LAW within organization and all the doctrines. They are responsible for emotional damages, and gambling with poeples lifes.
I attempted to clear my name, problem, Elders ran the congregation, nothing I did was good enough, nothing my parents said was good enough, my parents stuck with it, finally my Dad realized how they were and he left, he was a Elder. Maybe it was just this congregation in New Philadelphia/Dover Ohio... I pray it was.
Paraxore, Not the least bit harsh. I was 16 years old, dedicated to the Witnesses, we moved and with that move we were into a new congregation which was nice, more people my age. I was not aware that there were girls and parents in the congregation that found me to be a threat. I did nothing wrong, but was accused of being a Satanist after a few months, newbie, Satanist, banned, no friends, even my family cut me off, new congregation.... bad start to life.
@slappywannanappy well if you were wrongly acoused of being a satanist then that of course is not right, still however one's life is what they make of it.
Well, I am glad others not around this area feel the same. I was asked multiple times "What congregation did you go to???", what, others aren't like this? Well I have heard they have not changed and I know better now, as do my parents, it was wrong on so many levels.
@slappywannanappy did you see the documentary that is in the process of being made. It's " Losing My Religion" It sounds like it will be great. It will be released for the theatre. I hope anyone that is shunning a loved one will see it.
@PrintedTruth I am interested in seeing this movie, no one should give up on Jehovah, but they should give up on certain congregations that promote witch hunts.
@slappywannanappy Im not trying to to sound harsh or cold, but in what way did the elders make a decision for you that they had to take you aside to "ruin your life" if you choose to live your life in a certain way others can respect that but please don't blame your actions or other peoples beliefs on ruining your life.
@TheParaxore the Elders were ordered by the CO to disfellowship my daughter. He told them to watch her. He wanted her out for wicked reasons on his part. It sounds like I'm making this up, but sadly it's true. You are in a Cult. Don't raise your children in this cult. I promise you that if you do one day you will remember these words but with great sadness. Do your research.
@PrintedTruth No I also have heard of situations as well, my fiancé's father who was a Prosideing overseer would give talks from the bible on how to treat your family and then go home and abuse her and her family, however all this does is prove that there are imperfect humans and that that are able to make mistakes, however Jehovah will deal with these individuals and it his place to give justice, perhaps that CO has already been dealt with as my fiancés father already has. He was removed.
@PrintedTruth However, you are entitled to your own opinions, still the fact that you call it a cult is very offensive to many, including myself, and regardless to what any believe the things I've learned and the way i'v been treated in this organization has helped me greatly, not only has it protected me from many of the traps in the world that so many fall to. Its given me a set of morals that will benefit me forever, also has improved every relationship iv been in, and that is a FACT.
@TheParaxore I can only speak the truth. I am sorry if it offends you. I don't want to offend you. If you really believe it's God's organization, Go to the Elders and tell them that active Jehovah's Witnesses are associating with you. Show them this Video. If it is the truth you have nothing to fear. If you find that you are afraid of the Elders who claim to be Loving Shepherds, then read Cult Mind Control. Fear is the greatest weapon.
@SalomeTirza - You are right. JW's are not Christians. They have perverted Christianity and the Bible. They have turned a loving God, into a hateful God. They are nothing but a dangerous high control cult that should be banned before they have a Jonestown.
Go and see the elders again. ask them whether you should shun your family. by loving them we need to do what is best and if they have done something wrong, we want them to come back because Jehovah said these things and if we continue to have any spiritual relationships with them we are standing on Satan's side. you should be ashamed. Even my mums best friend was defellowshipped but we couldn't talk to her. All we could say was:come back to Jehovahs place. We all miss you.
@DavidHFSampson David, I know you mean well, but I wish You could understand for your own good. You are being minuplated. You are living in an illusion. Just go to the Watchtower Library and find out how your own Mum will treat you if you are disfellowshipped and you are not a minor. The fact that you can't accept what the Watchtower teaches tells me that you can't really see what it is you are being taught.
@PrintedTruth listen i know your not trying to be judgemental and you mean well also but truse those who have lived it, I currently am dissfellowshiped for a mistake with my now finnace but we really felt bad and repented and we don't feel shuned we know were loved and right now im liveing with a couple who are also jw and they still talk to me and are just as loveing as my family is, the main concern is assosiation, so please don't try to talk about something your mis informed about.
@TheParaxore I'm worried about you. It seems as though you would rather think of yourself as a wicked fornicator that needs to be punished then to believe that Jesus would not have condemned you. Please go to freeminds website. Don't let them tell you that you are not currently worthy of God's love.
@PrintedTruth I think you missunderstood me, I do not believe myself to be a wicked fornicator, i believe i made a mistake that i now have repented for and know have been forgiven for, also i know i still have god's love as the whole reason people are dis-fellowshipped is out of love for the congregation and I still feel gods love as I have changed my ways and live in accordance with what god wants for his followers. And no one has "told" me otherwise.
@DavidHFSampson David, my wifes mother just got disfellowshiped and it has been horrible for my wife. My mother in law is mentally ill and was unaware that she was doing anything wrong at the time. These kind of people were NOT the sort spoken of by Paul or John when they spoke of disfellowshipping. They where talking about very corrupting influences. And even these influential people were supposed to be reprimanded and "won over".
@DavidHFSampson I would also like an active JW to attempt to answer one of the questions in the video. "Does that scripture support shunning your own Mother for talking about the problem of Pedophilia in the religion?"
The society has taken a few verses and given themselves more power. The very policy of judicial committees is unbiblical. Even for scriptural disfellowshiping it was supposed to be taken before...THE ENTIRE CONGREGATION!
@DavidHFSampson - When you say "done something wrong" are you talking about questioning the dictates of the so called Slave, or maybe smoking one cigar, or having a birthday party?...you know, "serious sins" such as these. (Insert rolling eyes hear.) - Read Crisis of Conscience. The author of this video has much in common with a former member of the Governing Body. -- BTW, YOU should be ashamed. Ashamed for serving 12 old men in Brooklyn who say they speak for God....and don't.
You still have to care for your families if they are disfellowshipped. It just says to not do spiritual things with them. However parents should keep helping their children spiritually to make them come back to Jehovah God
@DavidHFSampson No that's absolutly not true. You are to have emergency contact with them only. It depends on the local Elders if they want to persue someone that is associating any more than that. So there may be some who do. But I have many close friends that shun their families and have been told to do so. Think about it. what more does your mother need than your love?
@PrintedTruth he speaks the truth, i have just been told it myself as i mentioned im dissfellowshiped so listen to me at least. it is limmited to no spiritual converstations or assositations, so no i can go to the movies with some friends now and i can't talke about the bible with my brother but i still work for him and we eat togather and were still friends.
Jesus takes away the sin and burden but Satan likes to put the burden back onto your shoulder, Let us forgive each other and seek God ernestly without hypocrasy
I really pray the Jehovah's Witnesses who watch your video take this deeply to heart, and not let anything come between their families to split them up.
Thank you very much for this uplifting video. I have a JW who calls on me to place literature and I have discussed with her from the bible why it is not scriptural to shun. Thank you for sharing these great scriptures with me as well as the encouraging words, keep it up.
Awesome video! All those pictures showing the reverse of shunning look just as good to me as all those paradise illustrations they use to lure people into the religion.

Really how different are these situations?
jjale808 1 week ago

Its comin.

TheWriterWalker 5 months ago
TO DISFELLOWSHIPED PEOPLE: Words are powerful and can shape your reality, so stop saying that you were "disfellowshiped." That implies that someone negative was done to you -- that you were dismissed, discounted, dissed! Instead, say that you grew, or freed yourself, or gained the courage needed to stand up to millions of "family" members. If you left for noble reasons, be proud of that -- not ashamed. They didn't disfellowship you -- you disfellowshiped them!
TheWriterWalker 6 months ago

Trynhardnark 10 months ago
once you will disfellowship, the spiritual connection will be cut off.so that the bro's and sis's will shun to those who were disfellowshiped.but it doesnt mean that you are not able to communicate w/ your family.whatever you are or whoever you are, your family is still be your family.but as possible as it can, your family should prevent to discuss about the spiritual.shunning is a kind of descipline.apostle paul said if the disfellowshiped one was repent w/ his sin,the elders will reinstate him.

@davejustines That's an outright lie and if you are one of Jehovah's Witnesses you know that. Read your copy of "Keep Yourselves in God's Love"
PrintedTruth 10 months ago
@davejustines hehehehe hahaha hahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! You've got to be kidding me right? Although I haven't been disfellowshipped or reproved I have seen several of my close friends fall out of the truth. One of them commited suicide. The other moved to another state after her parents refused to communicate with her. Their words not mine. And then the others are cut off from their families. Disfellowshipping destroys lives. And I doubt that any of those children feel loved by Jehovah.
AnonDude2 8 months ago
@davejustines "Discipline"?? How does a high-control group that causes such cruelty in the name of "discipline" be of God? Especially when the one most likely to be "disciplined" is he who simply can no longer conscientiously remain a part of said group?
As most wife-beaters, child-molesters, drunkards & pedophiles receive much kinder treatment than those who choose to follow their conscience, doesn't this give one pause?
One should not punish one for leaving.

@davejustines What you state is not true at all. I know too many ex-JWs who are cut off completely by their family, friends and even co-workers.
You simple have not read the Watchtower's own comments as to shunning which by the way is totally unscriptural in almost all cases.
Calling a person an apostate or "mentally diseased" for disagreeing smacks of rampant hypocrisy and fraud.
Especially when you consider the whole organization is fraudulent.
tofuump 1 month ago
@tofuump I agree. Try bringing up the dates that were set for the 'Second Coming' - like the one in the mid-1970's - and see if that is open to free discussion, or how up until the early 1950's blood transfusions were OK until the 'doctrine/dogma' was redefined. Disfellowshipping does happen and it is used as a means of control, nothing to do with religion. It is people politics played with peer group pressure, by cutting a person off from family and friends.
Nyctasia 1 month ago
@Nyctasia I agree with you completly. One of the other weird things that gets to me is how it was taught up though sometime in the mid-50s that they should worship Jesus.

It is interesting that the Romans described the Christians as a cult.
Re: being disfellowshiped think of it as when you play a game of cards, if you break the rules it's called cheating.
From my understanding JW's first study with people to see if they agree with their interpretation of the bible. When is the last time did the Catholic church excommunicate a member of their church? No wonder the church is in the state it is.
Vicwarren711 1 year ago

PrintedTruth 1 year ago
I know someone who was disfellowshiped & later re-instated who said the discipline saved his life. You see he sadly became hooked on drugs & committed manslaughter over a fight over his stash of drugs. Happily, this man saw the error of his ways & then became reinstated as a J.W.
Vicwarren711 1 year ago

This example made me firm about the truth that GOVERMENT BODY OF WATCHTOWER SOCIETY is dangeruse ruling mechanism, it is an authoritarian system.

Well, I am glad others not around this area feel the same. I was asked multiple times "What congregation did you go to???", what, others aren't like this? Well I have heard they have not changed and I know better now, as do my parents, it was wrong on so many levels.

In 1986 I was 16 years old, pulled aside by the Elders, they ruined my life. Thank you for posting this.
slappywannanappy 1 year ago
@slappywannanappy did you see the documentary that is in the process of being made. It's " Losing My Religion" It sounds like it will be great. It will be released for the theatre. I hope anyone that is shunning a loved one will see it.

@PrintedTruth I am interested in seeing this movie, no one should give up on Jehovah, but they should give up on certain congregations that promote witch hunts.
slappywannanappy 1 year ago
@slappywannanappy Im not trying to to sound harsh or cold, but in what way did the elders make a decision for you that they had to take you aside to "ruin your life" if you choose to live your life in a certain way others can respect that but please don't blame your actions or other peoples beliefs on ruining your life.
TheParaxore 1 year ago

TheParaxore 1 year ago
@PrintedTruth However, you are entitled to your own opinions, still the fact that you call it a cult is very offensive to many, including myself, and regardless to what any believe the things I've learned and the way i'v been treated in this organization has helped me greatly, not only has it protected me from many of the traps in the world that so many fall to. Its given me a set of morals that will benefit me forever, also has improved every relationship iv been in, and that is a FACT.
TheParaxore 1 year ago
@TheParaxore I can only speak the truth. I am sorry if it offends you. I don't want to offend you. If you really believe it's God's organization, Go to the Elders and tell them that active Jehovah's Witnesses are associating with you. Show them this Video. If it is the truth you have nothing to fear. If you find that you are afraid of the Elders who claim to be Loving Shepherds, then read Cult Mind Control. Fear is the greatest weapon.

This vid made me cry. How can JW call themselves Christians? WHERE DO they follow Jesus Words. THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIANS AT ALL!!
Call your self as you are: JEHOVIANS and NOT Christians. You have nothing to do with Christ.
Thanks anyway for this vid. Its made very loving.
SalomeTirza 1 year ago

DavidHFSampson 1 year ago
@DavidHFSampson David, I know you mean well, but I wish You could understand for your own good. You are being minuplated. You are living in an illusion. Just go to the Watchtower Library and find out how your own Mum will treat you if you are disfellowshipped and you are not a minor. The fact that you can't accept what the Watchtower teaches tells me that you can't really see what it is you are being taught.
PrintedTruth 1 year ago
@PrintedTruth listen i know your not trying to be judgemental and you mean well also but truse those who have lived it, I currently am dissfellowshiped for a mistake with my now finnace but we really felt bad and repented and we don't feel shuned we know were loved and right now im liveing with a couple who are also jw and they still talk to me and are just as loveing as my family is, the main concern is assosiation, so please don't try to talk about something your mis informed about.
TheParaxore 1 year ago
@TheParaxore I'm worried about you. It seems as though you would rather think of yourself as a wicked fornicator that needs to be punished then to believe that Jesus would not have condemned you. Please go to freeminds website. Don't let them tell you that you are not currently worthy of God's love.
PrintedTruth 1 year ago
@PrintedTruth I think you missunderstood me, I do not believe myself to be a wicked fornicator, i believe i made a mistake that i now have repented for and know have been forgiven for, also i know i still have god's love as the whole reason people are dis-fellowshipped is out of love for the congregation and I still feel gods love as I have changed my ways and live in accordance with what god wants for his followers. And no one has "told" me otherwise.
TheParaxore 1 year ago
@DavidHFSampson David, my wifes mother just got disfellowshiped and it has been horrible for my wife. My mother in law is mentally ill and was unaware that she was doing anything wrong at the time. These kind of people were NOT the sort spoken of by Paul or John when they spoke of disfellowshipping. They where talking about very corrupting influences. And even these influential people were supposed to be reprimanded and "won over".
JwFoundJesus 1 year ago
@DavidHFSampson I would also like an active JW to attempt to answer one of the questions in the video. "Does that scripture support shunning your own Mother for talking about the problem of Pedophilia in the religion?"
The society has taken a few verses and given themselves more power. The very policy of judicial committees is unbiblical. Even for scriptural disfellowshiping it was supposed to be taken before...THE ENTIRE CONGREGATION!
JwFoundJesus 1 year ago

DavidHFSampson 1 year ago
@DavidHFSampson No that's absolutly not true. You are to have emergency contact with them only. It depends on the local Elders if they want to persue someone that is associating any more than that. So there may be some who do. But I have many close friends that shun their families and have been told to do so. Think about it. what more does your mother need than your love?
PrintedTruth 1 year ago
@PrintedTruth he speaks the truth, i have just been told it myself as i mentioned im dissfellowshiped so listen to me at least. it is limmited to no spiritual converstations or assositations, so no i can go to the movies with some friends now and i can't talke about the bible with my brother but i still work for him and we eat togather and were still friends.
