This is not a perfect playthrough though; I recorded stage 6 first back when I was doing this, and when I recorded the actual game, I got killed once in stage 6, and said screw it. That's why my final rank at the end of stage 7 is an A instead of an S. But I do appreciate the compliment, very much.

Those dogs that were trying to kill Bill in the Alien Wars and Contra 4 were actually aliens with creepy human like faces. These dogs in this video are normal, except for a couple who seemed like they were by Contra themselves. 0:03

I laughed when I saw you use the machine gun to preempt the alien carrier's bombs. I spent at least an hour figuring out a solid way to shield myself from them using the flamethrower, and I didn't even think of that. XD

the easiest was Super C (for me). The hardest was Final Mission (SCAT in the US), then Contra 3 (Snes), then this one.

Sigh, do some research. Neo Contra uses an overhead perspective and Bill wears a bright blue costume. Check out my other videos; I have all of Neo Contra's levels up except for the last one (which is pointless for what I was doing).

@Steveman27 I used to play Contra:Shattered Soldier with my (then) wife while I was married. We were unstoppable. We always finished with an A rank, so yeah, there was a lot of practice. Not so much with Neo Contra, because she didn't like it as much as I did.

I don't particularly care much for either the IG or AVGN, so I can't comment on either one.

Yuckie first midboss on the convayer belt shaft got grinded, but LOL at the part in the back after showing him in the box. Also to say, the boss theme sounds somewhat like in one of the previous Contra games...

The walking tank at the end has a remix of the boss theme from the end of Contra III. It's from when you start to climb the wall and fight the flying alien (just before Red Falcon and the Brain).

Very similar to my strategies, which makes me feel good. I also like the safe approach. Standing under the light robot is the best tactic, but it makes me nervous so I don't use it.

I know a faster (and even safer) way to kill the Light Robot and the Alien Head mini bosses.

Every time I try to use any tactic but machine gun the light robot's bombs I get killed. If you know a better way, by all means, let me know! =)

What I do is just stay below the robot with the machine gun and fire upwards. There's a spot between the eye and the bombs where your shots hits both.

I don't know if I explained it very well, but the point is that some shots hits the eye and the others hits the bombs. It's just about practice :P

i think you're full of it. The Light Robot kills me everytime I try using anything else besides the machine gun. If an explosive hits the ground, it'll make you panic, lose control, and get wiped out by another that made it through your line of fire.

The tactic he's describing is what I do. If you stand under it and jink from side to side you can create an umbrella of bullets that blows up the grenades whilst hitting the eye. All you need to do to survive is make sure you stay within about one Bill's width either side of the e.
