The software i used to make the video was microsoft onenote for the writing software (cheap alternative would be evernote) i recorded the video using camtasia studio (cheap alternative would be camstudio). I have a tablet pc which allows me to write on my screen, but a cheap alternative would be to buy a graphic tablet that you would plug into your usb.
