Sorry, but Original > This Remix.

It doesn't have that same midi shiver-down-yer-spine feel that the original does. That feeling that you associate with just having beaten one of the most downright impossible games ever. Plus the fact that this is looped, whilst necessary, is hideous.

no dont get me wrong. all the other games were good. super metroid is one of my favorite games. hell i'm still playing through Corruption, but i just hated metroid for NES. i could not get any farther than the long beam in 1990 and i cant get any farther than the long beam in 2008.

I don't care much for Zero Mission. I would play it, but I cannot stand GBA. It only has the D-pad, shoulder buttons, start/select, and two face buttons. Not nearly enough. The controls in Fusion and ZM are horrible. I don't like the small screens, either.

I loved ZM as it was real fun.. But it was far too short for a Metroid game.. I can't complete the original I'm too suckage for that. It was ubelievably hard though =/

While I'm not particularly fond of the NES Metroid, I have to say that this is one of my favorite Metroid songs in Brawl. I especially love the change at :21. It's epic and it's very nostalgic.

Sorry for the late response, but: yes, I have played it. I loved Zero Mission. It took Metroid's gameplay and upgraded it with some of Super Metroid's game mechanics. It therefore makes it better than the original.

Don't get me wrong, Metroid was groundbreaking and should be commended for that alone. But the game has aged poorly, with its many bugs and shortcomings. Super Metroid on the other hand has stood the test of time.

Zero mission had great action and fusion had a neato story.
