  • First I like to say i love all of your video's ! I need a bit of advice : I can trade a williams Dirty Harry pinball machine in good condition for a whirlwind in good condition with the topper. Is it a good deal ? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • @denBlackie OOoh my....that's a good question. Dirty Harry is a lot "deeper" in the rules, is a DCS sound system game, has a dot matrix....you know? But, Whirlwind is a classic. If the WW is in good shape and working 100%, I'd say it's a fair trade "IF" you love WW so you'll get the trade value out of it. You know?

Me personally I would because I Like WW better than DH, but that's just personal opinion. Thanks a lot!

  • @spida1a Thanks for your opinion ! He wanted to sell it as well for a good price :) it was recently restored , looks brand new so I'm going to buy the Whirlwind and trade my DH later.

  • did you know that the guy on there in the weather van is actuly pat lawler

  • @TheCrulZ2348 Sure is, yeah. I was hoping to get one of the "Cubs" translites but to no avail over the years, ha ha. :)

  • I've played this machine in real back in 1996 when I was on vacation in France (St. Jorioz, Annecy) in a campsite arcadehal where it was standing between a Dr. Dude and a Rollergames machine. I liked it rightaway. Then I never played it again until I discovered VPinMAME / Visual Pinball which made me possible to play it again, being a emulated replica. About a week ago I've completed it's basic and Wizard goals in Williams Pinball Classics for XBox360. Nice movie you made about this table.

  • @mdegast Thanks a lot for sharing your story, watching AND commenting! :)

  • Great machine I'm waiting for mine in a few days, this is the first system 11, into my collection

  • @elchivato23 Ha ha. Ugh, yes....to me....the money MM's go for is CRAZY. Ha ha. Glad I snuck mine when I did. You know?

Thanks for watching and commenting my friend!

  • @elchivato23 Well, I do not currently own it. But, Lethal Weapon is a great game! :)

  • I have one of these in desprate need of restoring but I just need the time to do it. I also have the Earthshaker that I let someone use for a show in Phoenix. It was left in the sun for 9 hours in the middle of July (how ironic). Long story short, goodbye ramps and fired employee :)

  • @hydrolisk1792 Ha ha!! Thanks for watching!

  • A very nice game, especially on a very hot summer's day.

  • @seneca175 Yes, really. Have you ever seen the ones at Pinball Expo that show up now and again....where someone put the industrial fan on the top so it's SUPER windy? Ha ha . I wish I could play that someday. Lol!

  • @spida1a Someone once attached a friggin' leaf blower on their topper!

  • Feel the power of wind

  • @samo0701 HERE IT COMEEEESS!!!!!

  • remember and love this game. gamester81 turned me on to your videos. I really like mrs pacman pinball its simple game play but a very nice game.

  • @gtq838 Hey, thanks for watching! :) :)

  • Pat Lawlor is the king of pinball design IMO. Whirlwind is probably my second favorite table ever, after Twilight Zone (which Lawlor also designed).

    Love your collection BTW.

  • @charlesajones77 I totally agree. I played his designs more than any others it seemed. Ha ha.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Double thumbs. Thanks for the vids.

  • @robertjohncartlidge Cool! Thanks my friend.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for the vids, have been watching them all.

  • @Kryzsky Hey, cool! Thank you for watching!!

  • All your videos are awesome. Now, I have two questions. I saw in other websites the plastic fender washers were below the blue plastics to protect them and you put them above. What's the correct way? And the last one, I have the left side of the upper transparent ramp kind of sawed (by hand in a strange way?) or broken (I don't know). Next to it, the yellow transparent pop bumper cap has a cut edge on it (because of the ramp). Do I have the first section of the transparent ramp broken? Thank you

  • Chris, your videos are awesome! No one else shoots and edits these pinball videos as well as you. I never realized how much I enjoyed looking at different pinball games. I've just ordered Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Collection for the PS2, because Whirlwind is one it. Not the same as the original, I know, but I can't wait to play it.

  • @JacobRuefer Thanks so much my friend. I truly appreciate it. I actually wish I could have done a better job "lighting" things. I was in such a hurry (and that basement has ZERO light). Things are a bit "hot" at times....but....yeah, I know. I'm being overly critical. Ha ha.

    Thanks again!

  • Another cool review Chris.

  • I tried this one in Pinball Hall of Fame Williams edition on the wii. It is quite fun virtualy, i bet the real one would show eve nmore how much i suck at real life pinball.

  • how did u get footage of yourself at Subway ?

  • @NadrianATRS Ha ha. I can't even remember. I just remember they shot, like, twenty seconds or something and I got hold of it once. :)

  • Great production! I like how you incorporated previous video for the story. Whirlwind to me, is second only to Funhouse. I think I played both on location at an arcade in the Richmond area years ago, and I was hooked.

  • @pingeek777 Thanks a lot my friend. I shot the segments pretty quickly so...I am thankful I had enough photos and footage to fill the gaps. Hah a. :)

  • FEEL THE POWER OF THE WIND !! awesome game

  • Good game to play if you need to cool off, too.

  • I noticed a lot of your pinball video are filmed last year, is that because the tables are stored away to preserve them?

  • @starsoldier1 Yeah, when I moved I shot almost all my games (before packing them away). I actually am going home in August to film the few I didn't get to....

  • hey man,

you still don't see too much double pop bumper sets.

    really cool video.

so whats the status of your relocation? are the pins all blazing again?!

  • Great review. I´m playing this one in the Williams Hall of Fame.

  • I know what would be funny but frustrating >:3

Modifying the fan so it is uber powerful and blinds the player when it blows.

    Wouldn't that be mean? :P

  • Thank's again for this presentation Chris!!! Very cool :o)

  • Just asking out of simple curiosity, what motivated you to record video footage of the games back in the 90s? It really seemed to pay off 15+ years later to have that on hand for these videos.

  • @kotogo does it surprise you the same video taper of 15 years ago would wind up owning the games and make pro edited youtube videos ;]

  • I love the fan! Thanks for the great review, Chris! Hell yeah!

  • Thank you for another great review,Chris

  • I wonder if the fan would keep a player cool?

  • @KesorodaBlk Yes, it can.

  • @nlafavore Good to know! When under pressure, one must keep their cool, or lose the battle! :)

  • I used to play this on my college campus. The ball used to really stick to the plate when it was spinning. There was no sticker.

  • I totally remember these, you're a really lucky guy to have all these sweet pinball gems; maybe someday I'll have a place big enough to get 1 or 2 of my own.

  • That fan on top must be nice while playing on really hot days.

  • This is awesome. You have an amazing pinball collection!

  • I still play this like nute on Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection for the Wii

  • Wow Chris, it was cool to see you @ 15 doing the subway thing. Man you actually kept a lot of footages of the past times as if you knew that they may come in handy. Thanks for sharing your view on Whirlwind, I am beginnig to kinda look for a pinball myself lately... someday :))

  • I wish I could've got footage of myself working when I was young. lol.

  • Thank You soo much Chris!!! A+ Review as usual!

  • You don't by chance have "The Party Zone" do you?

I've really been wanting someone's opinion on that

  • Another great review, your reviews BLOW everyone else's away!

  • this is the one i played at the laundromat while waiting on the clothes.

    this and the earthshaker too.

its a fun game i want to play again but they took it out

  • Nice! I love the FM tunes. :)

  • Love it.

  • Thanks for the new pin vid Chris. Another awesome job!

  • LOL, it seems like all billiards halls are seedy places and you know what? nothing wrong with it! :D

  • Some part of me would feel still.. sad, if you had to let this collection go. :/ It wasn't easy to afford such machines back when you bought them, and remains so today..

  • Now this one i have played a few times and the one thing that always stood out about it to me was that fan! lol.

  • Excellent review Chris! :)

this looks like a great table!

  • As always Awesome review :-)

  • Funny thing is, My first job was also at a resterant. really neat machines, it makes remember some my pinball experinces
