  • This video is great! I love robot.

  • We can produce and input everything into robot except emotion.

  • Someday everything is replaced by robot such as servant robot, robo cop and etc.

  • Technology about robot advance very much.

  • When I watch this video I think that Avatar is possible in soon.

  • SHORT CIRCUIT !!

  • saaay.. the guy at the beginning... pOuumGX-6uc I think so.

  • Thank you for sharing

  • Good robot.

  • I like robot.

  • You're so ridiculous. You start out by calling the biologists who've discovered this oil eating bacteria and researched it extensively retards, and saying that it doesn't work and they don't know what they're talking about.

  • That idea for the online avatar was just silly. If a computer algorithm can display body motions associated with specific intonations, the human brain can do it a lot better. I don't think it would add anything to a conversation.

  • LOL dora the robot to help with the house?...dora's from mexico right?

  • @voniak289 rofl <3

  • lol Dora dissed NewScientist :D

"i see something that looks like a magazine"

  • Its obvious that DORA is a GladOS prototype!

  • game over man

  • which wrack is that?

    it looks awsome :D

  • that robot's very creepy.

  • yay better gestures in games

  • robo-butler to take bags from the lobby to your room in a hotel?

  • it goes to a huge area of space first? sounds like it wants to escape...

  • @VulgarityDevine It technically is proven and oil eating bacteria has been used to clean up oil spills due to the fact that it is least harmful to the environment unlike chemical dispersants. Which are more to as toxic as Antifreeze. (Ethylene Glycol).

  • @stitch890 Thank you for the hundredth time I'm sorry I don't know about every single type of biological being out there...

  • he looks very uncomfortable speaking

  • There was something f*cking hilarious about Dora just trundling around and staring vacantly at everything in that house.

  • All the gesture models look like they're cooking to me.

  • Dora? What about Johnny 5. Johnny 5 is a live.

  • defo dont have to worry about cybernet for afew more years then

  • Dora the Explo.. I mean.. Robot! Dora is awesome! The robot, of course.

  • dude in 100 years robots will be almost human

  • @Darkfire889 maybe not 100 years about 50 years or a tiny bit less I'd say.

  • these are great! DORA is a great project!

  • dora the explorer #lol

  • Everyone who thinks the womans voice is HORRIBLE vote thumbs up on this comment!

She may be a good journalist or scientist but please...find someone else to present the news!

  • again with the retarded idea of oil eating bacteria it's impossible

  • @VulgarityDivine Actually it's been around for millions of years. research before you post. There are millions of natural oil leaks in the ocean, and certain bacteria have grown to flourish and multiply cleaning up these spills. why do you think the ocean isn't full of oil? you really think that there are never natural oil leaks? maybe you know there are, do you really think that they just go away? you must be stupid

  • @ace76543 How am I supposed to know that? last time I heard about oil eating bacteria was was a bunch of conservatives saying oil spills fix themselves... geez because we all aren't holding our degrees in biology in others faces it doesn't make us stupid and where do I think oil goes? into the ground you dumb ass of course more oil is soaked in the ground than eaten

  • @VulgarityDivine

What happens when its soaked in the ground?

It gets exposed to more Bacteria!!

  • @VulgarityDivine You're so ridiculous. You start out by calling the biologists who've discovered this oil eating bacteria and researched it extensively retards, and saying that it doesn't work and they don't know what they're talking about. Then, when someone corrects you, you're like "OH I'M SORRY I DON'T HAVE A BIOLOGY DEGREE, HOW AM I MEANT TO KNOW? GAWD!"

If you don't know what you're talking about then don't even bother posting, little kid.

  • @Alexrose12345678910 If you are calling me a kid you obviously don't have many years yet yourself to be going around calling names and I wasn't saying anything about biologists I'm calling him an idiot who isn't a biologist and he couldn't possibly be some sort of specialist that would give him the OK to go ahead and spew knowledge when he didn't get an education for it I'm sorry I don't have time in MY day to research every little fact I have a family and a job to look after You are ridiculous

  • @VulgarityDivine Your family? Is that what you call your characters on runescape? This is coming from the guy who went onto a Modest Mouse video, saw something had 50 thumbs up ("Banjos are fucking awesome") and posted it onto another of their videos.

If you're a grown man I think it's pretty embarassing.

Regardless, you posted something saying that the scientists who researched oil eating bacteria are wrong, calling them retards, and now you act all victimised. Grow up.

  • @Alexrose12345678910 it's called an adult gamer welcome to reality and I wasn't talking to you or these biologists I was talking to the idiot being a dumb fuck like you BLOCKED.

  • @VulgarityDivine Looks like you just got served.

  • @Alexrose12345678910 For oil fields I vote we just hit it with High Frequency Electromagnetic vibrations (Much like they used to do in the Navy during the 50's when dumping fuels)

As far as the robot in concerned, I vote we kill it before it's standing over your bed at night with a rape face, and wakes you up, has dilated pupil lenses and performs forceable daterape

  • thankfully they were decent enuff to put a t-shirt on that thing.

  • they have a magazine?

  • I love these videos. So much cool stuff is being researched all the time.

  • ...and that becomes our gesture "libary." Real smart guy.

  • Oil-eating bacteria in your tank owns sugar big time.

  • dora's explorin...

  • most annoying voices on youtube

  • butler looks like psycho stabber robot from futurama

  • @scullyy "Stand back, i gotta practice my stabbin' "

  • @scullyy OMG I knew I saw him somewhere :D

  • @gmaker0 dude

  • Doesn't the Xbox Kinetic software already do the mapping peoples bodies?

  • @gmaker0 TONS of robots can read dude, even things barely more than a calculator

  • Is Dora from the supersonics

  • My dad would love Dora.

  • maybe this will help video games look more natural

  • there is a real dora the explora!

  • Dora's got really bad dress sense

  • Sweet. More and more robots are popping up.

  • yes but when do we see robots that learn by itself?? We are still at the stage of you inputting what objects they can recognize. Which means human input to the cognitive aspect.

  • @KiranGlitch

You too are a limited machine.

You can't see X-rays, gamma rays, Dark Matter etc.

Your DNA is just as much a software as any other.

And creating an AI that learns was allready achived, but in smaller, virtual spaces, so it schould not be long before we will see robot-infants wandering on the streets actually expiriencing it.

  • that scottish guy is kinda hot.............

  • hmmm

  • so it.... learns? creepy, i wish i was a programmer/engineer so i can raise my own pet robot

  • Dora is like granny with alzheimer

  • @systat

Lolz she is just like my grandma xD

Just add software that makes it talk senseless random bullshit and you will not be able to tell a difference.

Well, meaby add flawfull dish-washing program that makes it try and fail to wash dishs time and again, and only smell will differentiate them :p

  • can you tech guys tell me what the hell is the hold up with asimo looking robots getting on the consumer market?

is the 'asimo' just like one of those cars of the future at the car show that they will never actually release?

    or something else???

I see all these humanoid robots, for years, I want one, but they never say when they will come out.

Love to have a robot cleaning my house, mowing yard, going to buy groceries, etc...

    that would be awesome.

  • @PatrioticFront Well you should get a robot vacuum cleaner. They are $300 and work decently.

  • @PatrioticFront i imagine at this point the cost doesnt match the usefulness that robots currently can provide. an advanced robot could run you in the tens of thousands of dollars, is it worth it to have your dish taken to the sink for you?

i think robots need a lot more software development.. if the robot were given a lot more personality able to have conversation with you where you can ask it a question and it can use the internet to search an answer then it would serve multiple purposes.

  • how many people will do the same robot invention. Coordinate your work and progress rather than going back to same prototype again and again by different group.

  • I don't think everyone in the world will enjoy the idea of avatars that mimic them as some people use it as a way to hide who they are. But the concept is pretty cool.

  • ahahaha 0:21

  • I think it's a gag calling the robot Dora the explorer:D

  • 2^0st?

  • Dora was exploring.. LOLOLOL

  • @xtrm333 LOL!!!!!! CANT BELIEVE I FAILED TO MAKE THAT CONNECTION

  • @michu070 It did seem a little random ^_^
