Just wanted to say this: Just because someone dies doesn't mean God isn't there. We're all going to die of SOMETHING. And If you're a Christian, death isn't a bad thing. Death on earth means eternal life in heaven. And and its a life with no pain or sadness, just pure joy and bliss.Honestly, its really us who are still on Earth who should be mourning, because Ben (I can't speak for him though because only God sees his heart) is in Paradise right now.

I have nothing against christians, but the way I see it is that Ben's echolocation ability is the result of an interesting way of development in the visual areas of his brains. Daniel Kish has actually trained other blind people in discovering their echolocation ability.
And if God's responsible for what happens to people, then he quite clearly lets innocent children die of diseases such as cancer, which btw would have definately killed Ben, had medical science not intervened.
