You can chose gradient colour to transparent. lol` Its easy basic think.

You need to find it in gradients.

@gabi0109 Your image is probably on grayscale. Make sure when you make the image the image says RGB color. You can change it by going to image - mode - RGB

Converted this to a gimp version and was pretty easy. Now my buttons look way better. Thanks. Gimp has a lens flare effect as well as shadow if you go alpha to selection, select - grow, make a new transparent layer and put it behind the layer for shadow. Use paint bucket tool to fill selection select - none, and then do a guassian blur.

Something you could do, if you're planning on making both PS and GIMP tutorials:

Whenever you release a video, just release an intro-screen with an annotation to the PS version, and the GIMP version.

The annotations will then link to a secret video, saving people from having the subbox destroyed (even if slightly). :)

Unfortunately the fans on my computer are really loud and the mic I use now (Audio Technica AT2020 is super sensitive. I tried to edit out the hum but it breaks through twice in the video. Hopefully it isn't too noticeable.
