I bought this album when I was 11 years old. I'm a bit (actually a lot) older now and it hasn't lost any of its appeal. "You fill this heart of mine with happiness. Thank you love." How simple and pure. This man has a child's heart.
For those who may not know, Stevie has said that this song was a very important song to him. And that he actually wrote the song we now know as "Summer Soft" around the same time he wrote "Thank You Love". If you listen to both of them closely, you can hear all the similarities in chord changes, melody and structure. I love love love both these two and are very important in my life. Thanks Stevie for all the wonderful memories!!
@OsvaldoMenegazzi Absolutely! This song is the equivalent to vitamins, sunshine, smiles, friends, and love wrapped into one! When I was a kid, I would play this song before going to school each day (Junior High). It put a smile on my face then, and it puts a happy countenance in my soul today.
ah you guys are great , I just bought this album in 2009 , I wasnt even born when this record came out , it must have knock you guys down to the floor . . . . .
This takes me back to the Summer of '67 when I was 3 yrs old vacationing for the Summer at my grandmother's house in Arkansas, & my sister, who was five, would sit her record player outside, & we would listen to records all day long in the sunshine. Just the two of us. It was, & still is really beautiful. Thank you
