@PRL2204 No. There are a lot of open tracks in NYC that are above ground that operate in the rain/snow and nothing happens (well, in snow you get a nice light show with sparks flying all over whenever a train passes).
@RocketRodder I am watching this video while listening to one of your music videos; nice combination. I mean really, the water coming down as heavy would + "Dreaming Music 3 - Inside the maku tree, Celestial Harp Arrangement"
This is the result of a study by the MTA in which the commuter's morning shower is incorporated into his or her commute, thus giving him or her another valuable quarter of an hour in bed each morning. Good work, MTA!
The MTA has decided that it can't afford to remodel the locker room showers for our employees. Therefore we have implemented this new "car wash" method for our employees.
"Today, ladies and gentlemen, we are going to wash all trains going downtown. Today, we'll be washing all trains on the local track, starboard side. Thank You."
@tryithere and cover the bigger part of europe in radiation as well as generating horrible mutations through 3-4 generations in allied nations. Yea, real stupid, huh?
@jmark00meipia1 no its not that was back a few years ago when we had one very bad storm it was very early in the morning around rush hour and it rained like 4 inches and hour and we also had a tornado in brooklyn too that was a very bad day we had alot of damage
At first I thought it was to keep people from going to close to the tracks when the train is approaching, good idea. Then the train stopped and the water kept falling, not a good idea.
I remember I was in NYC that April weekend in 2007. There was a lot of rainfall that weekend and other tunnels were flooded causing some trains to be rerouted.
What's that nonsense? People will get wet and need an umbrella for entering a train, plus the platform and trains might get slippery and dirty (Shoe dirt and water...) they should be glad a subway is a dry transport system... I don't see a sense in that Waterfall thing
Cletus Spuckler of The Simpsons as he is about to drive through the car wash with his kids in order to bathe them: "Alright kids, cover up yer eyes and drop yer britches. Who wants wax?"
I wouldn't walk around so calmly, when the water finds its way from the all mighty sky to the underground subway, something must be seriously wrong with the structure.
@mmadi5 I don't think he would be right for the job. 1 slip and the 3rd rail sends out an unstoppable amount of electricity, and we all know Aang doesn't do so well with lightning.
have you ever heard about William Shakespeare? have you got any clue about where he lived and what is his house look like? use google search engine or wiki then decide whether you should post stupid comments on public page or not p.s pls don't embarrass yourself people might think every yank is stupid because of someone
ahhh shit it all makes sense now... you're from the south haha alright that clarifies things. I take it you just learned about Shakespeare while getting your G.E.D, proud of yourself?
the water from under the rails is most likely due to NYC water lines that run parallel underneath the subway. This is something that happens all over the city.
Above are the grates that lay on the sidewalk, a excessive amount of water is leaking through thus causes a underground/waterfall like affect. This is something that happens all around the city.
If water was unable to filter from the city roads to the subway to the ground, the ceiling would collapse. This is efficient & disgusting
lol i remember being on the other platform jus watchin it, it was jus to funny and then ppl already complaining bout MTA never fix a dam thing, well let me put it to u this way, u try running a multi billion dollar transportation system as well as they're doin it
i think its a good idea to put waterfalls in the subway it makes the station look alot better plus it wases the train and if a bum leaves the train he can take a bath there
Oh, that's just the MTA responding to people's complaints about sharing crowded cars with passengers with poor hygiene. Walk though the doors...boom! Instant shower!
But yeah, I used to see that from time to time when I rode the subways.
Well wat ever u think is wat u think, cuz im not thinking its waterfall LOL. why would the MTA do this on purpose, it might of been raining out side thats why people have the umbrella. Show me proof that the MTA allowed the workers to make a water fall?? Just cuz the vid shows a Water fall doesnt prove anything. There have been lots of water main breaks, and thats one of them~!
