This was my first roller coaster! It was beyond amazing. Now we got season passes to sea world and busch garedns and just last weekend I rode manta like 10 times. I am going again this weekened to see how many more time I can ride it! :) It sad when the staff starts to remember you. lol

I've ridden the Kranken Rollercoaster at Seaworld Orlando, and yes I had a great view up there. I didn't see this type of coaster when I went to sea world in Sept of 2008

Do you know what parts of the ride you loose your stomach on Manta? On Kraken I did not loose my stomach at all, just a little during the Kraken's first drop...but not nearly as much as the hill going down Journey to Atlantis.

this will be fine for your mother, i went on it yesterday it is very smooth, feels quite slow in comparison to others feels like you are superman, my tip is its SCARIER when you hold on to the harness than when you have your hands in the air like superman.

I apologize, it seems that I left out two twists, one after the rock formation with the waterfall, and one just before the first block brake run. Memory just kicked in.

Oh, and they aren't kidding when they tell you to remove all loose items. I lost my camera on the third run, and was unable to recover it. The camera was in my left pants pocket, and somehow (most likely during one of the inversions), it slid out and fell to the ground below. To be fair, it was about a quarter inch thick, but still, it would be wise to not take anything valuable on the ride.

The third and fourth time I rode, the train stopped before entering the station, still in the flying position. We waited there for six or seven minutes at the very least both times. The seat isn't painful at all before and during the ride, but sitting there for seven minutes (especially if your crotch is in an undesirable position), can become quite dreadful.

The exit is via a staircase that leads down and around the station building, to where you can view the on-ride pictures. The pictures are placed from front to back of the train, left to right.

After turning to the left, the track splits with a rotating piece, bringing the trains into two separate stations, the one opposite the one you entered on. The trains are converted to a vertical position, the restraints are lifted, and riders exit to a path between the two stations. There are little cubbies here where you can place any loose items not left in a locker outside while you ride the coaster.

Immediately after exiting the block brake run, the train dives and banks to the left to skim over the surface of a small pond, bringing up a slight splash before the track banks yet again to pass incredibly close to a small rock formation with a waterfall. The track dips down slightly to come close to the ground before rising to the brake section before entering the station.

At the top of the lift, the track banks right-ward and enters a downward u-turn, from which it climbs to the top of a pretzel loop, where most of the air-time is felt. After rise up facing upwards in a half-loop, the track banks left and enters a twist before turning again and passing by some trees towards the mid-ride block brake run.

At your chest is a comfortable vest-type restraint, and above that are two handles. On the feet are some awkward flaps that are a bit odd at first, but you forget about entirely one the train departs the station. The lift hill lasts for about fifteen seconds max, climbing at a very high speed. No pre-drop at the top.

I just went today (5/5) at 5 PM. Rode four times, waited 14 minutes first time, 5 minutes second, and no wait whatsoever for the third and fourth. The majority of the waiting time is spent right at the station, while the ride operators checked restraints on the train and the cars were lifted up to a horizontal position.
