Boy I would play this over and over having lost a best friend named Joe, Great harmonys with Eagles Don Henley and Glen Fry, who did another nice Harmony on a Joe Walsh Album Help Me Make It Thru The Night Mama or something, Great to see Bob segar back out on the road, I dont care if these guys old and lost a step its great to have them!
@reddnec Hello,my name Is Mark,Im the one that knew Joe and Sara,I dont know the exact address of that old house but It Is still standing,I promise you that the next time I go I will send you there address,I had to walk away for a second just to compose myself,I loved this couple and I just wish that time wouldnt be so cruel, but on the other hand I know there still together,Dancing,Bless you my friend.I will send you that address where we/Joe,Sara danced to Fire Lake.
I still go by there little house once in a while and I usually stop and put Fire Lake on in my car,Ive never experienced the feeling I get when I sit there and I can see Joe and Sara dancing,Sara passed away three months after Joe,I was the one that had to tell poor aunt Sara that Joe was gone,We both just stood there and cried,Joe did own a old three wheeler,,A picture of Joe and Sara hang above that chrome three wheeler,in my garage, theyre dancing to some song,I like to think It was FireLake
I actually knew a Joe and Sara, they were a beautiful couple,OL Joe stood by her side through a lot of sickness,he was dying,I loved them both,I realised there names mentioned In Fire Lake and I took the cd to there house and let Joe listen to It,It meant so much to both of them they were so excited just to hear there names mentioned in the same song,For a little time I got to watch this old couple dance to this song,It was something to see. That was LOVE.I cried, they laughed,we loved.
those telephone poles at the beginning back in the 40's and 50's the snow in the winter was as high as those telephone wires.love the way he starts out on the bike.this is just so damm cool.its the best.like to make it as a tribute to my late uncle eddie and uncle joe the one that didn't cut the cake.
I remember listining to this with my aunt the first time in Germany right before we moved away to the fucking USA.....I wish I was still out west or Germany....Meesha
remember seeing easy rider ..when dennis hopper crossed that center line that was something in those days ..those old bohemians and germans got the point across . my grandfather never hit us . ...remember kids gave me a hard time at school .so stopped at the neighbors albert hardrath & his wife meralee. and albert starts cussing away for about 5 minutes scared the heck out of me.than he says does your grandfather still talk like that.albert hardrath said he must be in good health.
those crooks stole a whole bunch of money from me and kenneth edwin juedes murdered no arrest aug 30 2006.monster hall camground owner randall landwehr told me and a judge hed kill ken and get away with it so far he has.i think their may be other murders every cop in marathon co will tell you hes a scum bucket but hes got a green light for fraud and worse.
other person id like to dedicate this song to is my uncle joe dushek farmer mason and builder of concrete silos.he was a heavy drinker.always had a case of beer kingsbury?my dad said when he couldnt get alcohol he drank mouth wash he lived to be 98 years old wed visit him and auntie richardson and antie zachek and each would tell us how the others were drinking way too much.ey ya yi theyd say.
easy rider was a classic.like to dedicate to my friend fellow pharmacist and buisness partner kenneth edwin juedes who got back shot aug 302006 no arrests.it was all about greed and money.his estate got looted so called widow cleaned up on land sales and insurance money.im convinced the the las vegas wedding application is a forgery filled out by one person who could spell his mothers maiden name all 4 letters.
WHAT A SONG think bob seger did that song down on main st about those ladies that worked at this is heaven sauna & massage on east main st in madison wi lilly rosie hot nancy and the rest.and they were within the law and so hot and sexy
I want Dennis Hopper's bike. Since everyone's waxing nostalgic, I first heard this song on WDVE, Pittsburgh, on my old single-speaker, 8-track boom box. 1980. Damn, I miss those days. I miss my old dirt bikes too. C'est la vie, I guess.
i was 16 ..just got my truck.. drinking beers out on a cotton ranch with some Buddies and heard this song.... every now and then i go to that ranch with a beer and listen to this song
I was 15 when I first heard that song on the radio in France. I fell in love with it. I think that song along with Bruce Springsteen's album "The river" are the reasons why I went to the US a few years after.
I had to go back to France. Since a little part of me is overthere. Today I just have to listen to the song again to feel like taking my suitcase and catch a flight across the ocean. This song is so inspiring and beautiful.
I was 16 and I had not gramophone at home then I was used to go in a little radio station to do the dj to listen records. I found the 7" ... those horses running in the wind ... that music so perfect...
Then I didn't find around the record ... only in the "napster ages" I could find it again
@laconchademalaga They're all old men now, but more people have motorcycles, who didn't have the money for one back then. Come pay us a visit, or stay, you're welcome.
Well Sam, I've been a sufferer of severe depression and psychological disorders my whole life and I know all about it. I'm not going to tell you to "cheer up" or that you can "get over it" because we both know that's bullshit. But I'm here, you're there, and that's a lot more than most of the world can say, so stick around and keep me company. I could use it too.
Ohhh, i remember it now! My grandpa's favorite song in the whole wide world!!! he used to ask me all the time if i knew what this song was. I didn't know then, but now I'm fully in love with this song. But everytime I hear it, tears come to my eyes- because in my mind I can see him playing it on his guitar. My grandpa died a couple years ago. But I still love him like he were here.
@Neongurl4ever Damn. Why do the tunes of the 60s - 70s - 80s conjure up memories that you'd just as soon forgotten? I hear you loud and clear about your grandpa. This song tears into me because of my Uncle Bob and how I shook his hand before he was taken away to the penitentiary in Kingston. What he did was wrong but still just and righteous. Eleven months later he was dead. Got killed in prison because he was trying to protect another person from harm. Fuck 'em all, right Unc?
@tyme4mike AWWWW!!!!!! thats sad, put i wont ever forget my gpa, he is my idol as much as he was before he passed. I have a couple memories but yeah. . .it still hard, cuz his son- my dad. . .hates my guts now. He told me to my face he didn't give shiza if he saw me again. . .and now i dont have my brothers or any contact with them. . .im so sad. . .it's like im torn in half. to make things worse, I'm suicidal. :( i dont want to die, but i dont mind if i do. . .no biggie, right?
@Neongurl4ever I always said "it isn't 'dying' I'm afraid of..it's 'living' that scares the shit outta me." LOL Don't waste any anxiety on trying to change tomorrow Neongurl. It never changes what happens tomorrow but it sure sucks out the energy we need to live for today.
