@RocketScience92 The riff is VERY agalloch-like (as far as my ears are concerned), judging from the first minute, I wouldn't be able to distinguish between the bands. Both are awesome.

Influenced by ISIS but far better. There's very few similarities between Callisto and ISIS when you think about it.

Definitely influenced by Isis, although I disagree about them being better. I dunno, it's just that Isis will always be the band that made Panopticon and Oceanic - they pretty much founded the genre with those albums.

Although, I gotta give Callisto some cred, they're the first post-metal that I ever heard. And they're still hella good.

Of course, some bands mean more just because they served a meaning. Callisto was for me, the first step into the whole Post-Rock/Post-Metal/Atmospher­ic Sludge genre.

AND it's in my opinion one of, if not the greatest band from Finland.

ISIS gave me a lot of view into things. Through listening to ISIS, I had this great idea how to infuse philosophy and ethics in to games like Half-Life 2. I know it sounds weird but Panopticon initiated these ideas due to its interesting concept theme.
