In Tasmania wildlife is persecuted and culled massively. Even pet shop staff brag how they entice Possums with food then shoot them while drinking beer on their verandas. Over one Million Wallabies were killed in one year in Tasmania because Gunns don't like them eating their precious plantations. Trouble with that is that 80 percent of Tasmania has all been cleared of the old growth forests which includes its wildlife. God help our native wildlife from the evils of man. Awesome vid and cheers.
how wonderful to see!! Is this a regular occurrence? And I bet to many it's not even a big deal since it's so normal in your area. We should never take for granted all the amazing things nature brings to us! - Here in NY parrots are not native, however we do have a flourishing flock of wild Quaker Parrots that live in Brooklyn. They survive the winter by building their nests on the electric poles. Still amazes me when I see them. No one knows how they got here..
wow great ideas unfortunantly the kingfishers are so stressed when caged they usually die..but the nest is great idea i must remember that 1..thanks mate...i dont have a room as such ..that would be wonderful but with 5 kids we just dont have a spare room..but the house is usually scattered with cages and enclosures..bit of a zoo really..lol
