Shannon Hoon was the singer of Blind Melon (No Rain is the most known song). He died in 1995 (overdose), he was a friend of Axl's sister, so he came from La Fayette like Axl. He did background vocal on Don't Cry (you can see him in the video and its making off)... GNR is AWESOME!!!
