They are the best dogs ever. I just got my second Dandie a few weeks ago, after waiting a year and a half after my best friend BobDog the Dandie died.
The birth problems don't have to do with their large heads - simply that litter sizes tend to be small and there's so few of them to begin with - on average about 100 born in the US each year.

I have a older one as well, i really really hope they don't become extinct! Not to put down anybody elses dogs, but why are bulldogs so popular when one can have a dog that looks this cute and hilarious?
didn't know about the birth problems, i suppose it makes more sense now as to why they are uncommon, i really do hope that popularity picks up in the next decade or so though
