Im personally running xp, I had Windows 7 (Waste of $118.00) but it took 3 days for it to crash. Honestly, The only changes I saw were some flashy cover ups for a bad operating system. It will take some time for people to realise that its not a good operating system but they will. Honestly, if you can't shell out $20 to by a copy of XP on ebay, then you should head right over to linux's forum and download ubuntu. (You'll probably get more support there anyways...)

People are just fooled by the new look. I assure for by november of 2010, people will hate 7 just as much as vista. Chris is a big mac user.. so I think he may just kinda overlook 7's problems due to his affilation with it. I actually had a 62 yr old man whos laptop i worked on (had win7) tell me that he hated windows 7 because it just was blue screening on him (He said the computer just got a blue screen then shut down). I told him I would install XP for him and he said it felt like it was xmas

@TheUberDeity Yes, my initial thoughts were wrong. Turns out the reason it kept bsod'ing is because my sata connections were going bad. I have since re-installed it and its still not my favorite OS, I still favor XP, but my feelings with Win7 are neutral.

It is actually $30 if you are happy just downloading it, but I paid a little extra to get an actual physical CD of it. I downloaded it too, but I also have the sealed CD pack if I decide to resell later.

no, even vista home premium had an option to type in kana , as far as I know in windows 7 ultimate you can change the system interface language from the available languages, so you should be fine if you get the windows 7 home premium

You can get it for $30 if you have a college e-mail address. Just make sure you have a flash drive or a DVD that you can make bootable. You'll probably have a problem installing it without that.

ive ben using xp since vista came out because vista had a problem with my 2 video cards. i have a nvidia geforce 8600gt with 2 monitors and a 5600fx for my 3rd monitor. on xp is worked. but on vista and now the same problem with windows 7...it wont let me use both cards. everytime i install the driver one of the cards wont work and when i fix it the other ard wont work. so the best i can do is the 2 monitors conected to my 8600gt. what kinda solution can i get to get my 3rd monitor working again
