Quick review for this game: Animation: AMAZING. Story and Characters: AMAZING. Gameplay (Combat): Great (But get's repetitive). Gameplay (Adventure world): Although great artwork, very VERY linear, boring, repetitive, and slow. Yes: Slow (I've played 1,4,5,7,8,9,11,12 and 13 and I gotta say I got most bored with 13's adventure field. There is 1 area of free roam which is just a large area that moves into other linear paths, and you can only go back to a certain point in the AF)
FFX and FFXIII are way better than the other ffs on the figth system, just waiting turns, and then you can left the screen on and the game on, and run away, abd nothing happens (exept for TV explosions due to overheating x) jejeje...) and in the others you can do that and your enemies will hit you and still be your turn....

I think most are in agreement that FFXII was awful. I have yet to play FFXIII, but regardless of what people say, I will play it for myself. My personal favorite was FF8, which some seem to think sucked. I think FFVI had the best SL. To each their own, and there's not need to bash others for it.

@Tawa232 put lightning to use potions on hope, and if you have with her the Medic role, just cure as fast as you can hope, because Odin will always attack him to the death and when light cures him the Ghestalth bar will keep going up. :D
even though I live in Russia and I am 15 years old I say that the company squaresoft moved away from the fact that not many years created nazat I still love the final fantasy 7,8,9 they are and will remain my favorite part, I still play them I'd like to create a company has such finalki which created a few years ago!

I agree that the games lost their character somewhat. My favourites are 6, 8 and 9, and possibly will stay forever. The storylines of the earlier parts were amazing, but it seems there is no way back to the "old FF". It's no good complaining, Square decided to go that way and we can't help it. I love the older parts to pieces, but I enjoy the newer games too (e.g. 12). Just try them or leave them; make the best of it.

For example, the Medic gives the dumbest auto heals (No, I will not cast Cure on that character who almost has full HP, my lead character is almost fucking dead), Saboteur does it the wrong order (Imperil needs to be first), Synergists give buffs that you don't want, Sentinel always does the wrong "guard" option
Have played nearly every FF game, the newer ones seem to be lacking in the "Different from each other" section. 7, 8, and 9 were totally different from each other, but X, XII, and now XIII seem to look the same, what happened Square Enix?
Anyone else notice how NOT Epic the summons are now? Remember Leviathan making a Tsunami and then riding it? I want to know what happened to the people who thought that shit up.
@quezicotl I agree with you Quetz. There are a lot of standard FF elements lacking in FF13. For instance : Where are the extra hidden summons? Where is the though bosses Ultima Weapon & Omega Weapon? Where is the large variety of monsters to fight against? It is true,since FFX came out ( the transition from squaresoft to square enix) the element that kept us FF fans hours behind our consoles has faded.

Things got a whole lot worse when Enix merged with squaresoft. Noubro w.e his name started to distance himself from the company, something bout distance. The orginal creator left or was forced idk. Spirits within caused a lot of poop. And FF has just become a series which is full of its self. FF12 was nice, but 13 was simple, they thought they could make the fans cum at the sight, they failed =)

FFX characters look like pacific islanders
FFXII characters spoke in British accents and many of the characters in THIS game looked the same.
FFXIII doesn't even look like 12 one bit. It resembles the story of FFX, only the story.
@quezicotl Well people seemed to like X alot and so I guess they continued the series on to mimic the style of X. But I agree with you, I much more preferred it when each game's style and story was completely different.
@quezicotl its kind of hard to keep a franchise running for over a decade so cut em some slack. Plus the really cool people are working on FF Versues and the other one.

Well, my Favourite I guess...would be FF6, 7 is pretty close.
I don't know, I pretty much like all of them really, haha.
But again, that's just me. I don't mind if someone thinks FF13/any other FF is the best or is their favourite whatever, it's just that I thought redblazerpea hadn't played many FF games to give them all a chance.

I agree that the games lost their character somewhat. My favourites are 6, 8 and 9, and possibly will stay forever. The storylines of the earlier parts were amazing, but it seems there is no way back to the "old FF". It's no good complaining, Square decided to go that way and we can't help it. I love the older parts to pieces, but I enjoy the newer games too (e.g. 12). Just try them or leave them; make the best of it.

Now that I think about it... 12 was a great Final Fantasy in comparison to this... I mean, before I played 13 I said 12 wasn't that great... but in comparison to this... 12 was way way way more fun. I've only played 8, 9, 10 (10-2), 12 and 13 and liked all except 10-2 and 13 was just... not what I wanted. BTW I also thought Lost Odyssey was just an average game and I think It's BETTER THAN THIS GAME

@salasvalor01 one thing that i also hate, it seems that even higher the nr. of the game goes there are less of "espers" and also no big spells like in older games, no, omega weapon or similar monsters, i don´t know why they take all the good stuff out, but they could do so much stuff on a PS 3 or Xbox 360, if they got not enough space make more cd´s who cares about the cd if the game is great, i hope they think about that in there next game

For example, the Medic gives the dumbest auto heals (No, I will not cast Cure on that character who almost has full HP, my lead character is almost fucking dead), Saboteur does it the wrong order (Imperil needs to be first), Synergists give buffs that you don't want, Sentinel always does the wrong "guard" option

Looks like a mix between FFX and FFXII
Have played nearly every FF game, the newer ones seem to be lacking in the "Different from each other" section. 7, 8, and 9 were totally different from each other, but X, XII, and now XIII seem to look the same, what happened Square Enix?
Anyone else notice how NOT Epic the summons are now? Remember Leviathan making a Tsunami and then riding it? I want to know what happened to the people who thought that shit up.

@quezicotl I agree with you Quetz. There are a lot of standard FF elements lacking in FF13. For instance : Where are the extra hidden summons? Where is the though bosses Ultima Weapon & Omega Weapon? Where is the large variety of monsters to fight against? It is true,since FFX came out ( the transition from squaresoft to square enix) the element that kept us FF fans hours behind our consoles has faded.

@schogea Only thing it had going for it was sazh and his chocobo, the first intro to Gran Pulse (only the introduction), the graphics and amazing effects in the cutscenes, and the ending cutscenes... but to me the story seemed like it didn't know exactly where it wanted to go... just a bunch of talk about l'cie and fal'cie and it was getting on my nerves... then just extreme melodrama and I absolutely hate that the only object of this game is to battle... there is nothing else to do? Geeze.

Things got a whole lot worse when Enix merged with squaresoft. Noubro w.e his name started to distance himself from the company, something bout distance. The orginal creator left or was forced idk. Spirits within caused a lot of poop. And FF has just become a series which is full of its self. FF12 was nice, but 13 was simple, they thought they could make the fans cum at the sight, they failed =)

@quezicotl I don't think X XII and XIII even look the same. I can agree with you about how the summonings are different and stuff but really, im gonna have to disagree with you on the three games looking the same.
FFX characters look like pacific islanders
FFXII characters spoke in British accents and many of the characters in THIS game looked the same.
FFXIII doesn't even look like 12 one bit. It resembles the story of FFX, only the story.
