  • You make this look so easy! I have a lot of hair and I tried to do this hairstyle for like an hour and couldnt get it to work lol

  • What book is that?? I NEED IT!

  • god i love the ramones and i love your videos!!

  • goast door lol

  • Hi Lisa, I just wanna say that I love you channel. It gives me a chance to take my mind of my little 14 month old ;) Anyway, I've tried a few hairstyles already and I was wondering if I could manage doing the the fluff bangs with long bangs(not exactly the cut for these vintage hairstyles). My bangs are about shoulder length. Maybe do some arranging/tucking with bobby pins?

  • @shelly3578 Yes you can certainly fake it. Curl the hair into small curls with a curling iron and then w/out brushing them out, rearrange and pin them back to your head. Fluff to fill in.:)

  • is there a ghost in your house or a kid trying to get some fam too.. lol x0)

  • @aatorres5 it's a baby. :)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet lol as i figured... well tell the baby very entertaining.. love it!! lol x0)

  • you do vintage hairstyles?

  • @brittanyxscreamworks LOL...evidently. :)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet thats awesome! for a few days now ive been going through a vintage 'Dita Von Teese'stage. and ive been looking up tutorials on how to do her wave, but i just cant find the right one. :( btw, i loved the video. :D

  • I cant do the roll :[

it keeps coming apart whenever i start to make it into a u

  • @InuSasha99 Are you using a pincurl set? THat will usually make for a more structured and stiff curl. If not, then you might have some short pieces trying to escape. Use more product or a pomade, in that case.

  • @LisaFreemontStreet

whooo it worked! thank you soooo much!

my hair was pretty long so i didn't think i'd need more pommade.

  • what is that book you're using?

  • @bexterity I review this book in another video. It's called Creative Hairstyling...by Ivan Anderson

  • i think i just fell in love w/ the fluff bang ^_^

  • Figures...:)

  • what a book is this in your hand?

  • Ivan Anderson's 'Creative Hairstyling'...you can get it on Amazon.

  • thanks :-)

  • I love you vid blogs sooooooo much. Ive always wanted to know how to do these hair techniques. Thanks a bunch. You soooo should publish your own book...too. fab!

  • I can't seem to figure out how to pin my bangs under.. :( Bobby pins confuse me! :)

  • This is an excellent learning style then, because the bobby pins will stay hidden. You need to get a feel for them and continue to practice. I usually openin them w/ my mouth ( I know, very sanitary), slide my finger in just a little to keep it open and then slide it where I need it. But it does take some practice to get the hang of them.

  • Thanks. :) I will just keep on practicing! :)

  • No. I just let him fend for himself. LOL Of course I am taking care of him....you are seeing a heavily edited video. I always have him w/ in my view. And I always stop filming if he needs me.

  • are you just using bobby pins??

  • For the styling, yes. For the pincurls I use a double pronged alligator or 'pincurl' clip. I feature them in my pincurl video.

  • I really love your passion for the styles!! You really analyze and create the style for your own hair. I also love how you incorporate ideas for ppl who have a different cut than your own! Very pleased with your videos!!! Subscribing definately!

  • whats the name of the book?

  • Creative hairstyling of the 1940's by Ivan Anderson...Bramcost publications has it on Amazon...

  • Thanks!

  • you probably already said this somewhere and i didn't catch it, but what book are you using?

  • Creative Hairstyling of the 1940's by Ivan Anderson...it's a re-issue you can find in paperback on Amazon. Thanks!

  • thank you so much!

  • I just love how you do the vintage hair tuts wearing Ramones, Pink Floyd shirts!

  • where d u get that book from?? : )

  • Amazon...:)

  • so cute I totally dig it

  • What is the song in this video?

  • Teenage Boogie by Webb Pierce. It's a take on a traditional song and has been called 'Hayride Boogie' and also influenced 'We Love To Boogie' by T Rex. :)...remember the scene in Billy Elliot?

  • i was wondering about your door..the first time i watched this i had the sound off so i didnt hear the baby lol i was like whats goin on.. too funny anyways thanks so much for this hair style. i have long bangs and wanted them like this and didnt know how to do it without cutting them.. i LOVE your videos. i have a bit of a vintage obsession!! :-)

    xxooJORDAN

  • Thanks for showing the forward roll bang! I have an inverted bob hair cut that has since grown out, so essentially I have quite the opposite of bangs and have been trying to create forward roll bangs.

    Thanks again!

  • Cute bangs! The fluff reminds me of Lucy Ball

  • hi, your bangs have grown a lot since the last time i saw your videos, i would like to ask you do you by any chance know how to do the real veronica lake hairstyle? i've been watching other videos in youtube where they say they can do it, but they actually dont do it so accurately. :)

  • Hi...yes, I know how to do it but I don't have the long hair so it won't look right. I've got some long haired friends I'm after to let me work on them. It's really just fingerwaves and a subtle curve at the bottom. I'm going to get some long clips for finger waves soon...

  • ok, thanks im looking forward to it :)

  • Yes, a would love to see a bettie bang!!!!

  • Bettie Bangs are very short. There is very little variance with them and therefore it would be very difficult to 'fake them' other than to do the above forward roll.

  • haha my son is going through the same phase lol this is really cute btw!

  • So I am having this dreaded side bang problem and they are really long would this style still work? I should probably just try it. I am going to cut my hair if I got the "middy" would my look wierd when I don't do these styles to it? How would the bangs look?

  • that book is awsome! i need it!!! your so lucky your hair will hold a culr. my hair just wants to stay stick straight. of course. hehe!

    xoxo

  • Just wondering, what book is that?

  • See my Pearl Frush Updo tutorial...I feature it in that video as an introduction to this series...

  • I'd love to see a bettie page look! You'd be amazing at it

  • very lucille ball-ish! with the red hair! i love it! thanks for the tutorial!

  • You're GREAT!!! Love the tutorials...very proffesional and understandable. Thanks as always!!!

  • you are amazing girl!! love that hair style.

  • gotta love those baby stages!!! this looks awesome! thanks so much for taking the time to do it! :)

  • Good job lovely! Now you've beat me, because this was my next faux bang tutorial!! haha ;)

You did a great job, perfect even.

  • Whoah! LOL...Not really. :) I really have to hold back on this series not to do the rest of the style but I told myself I wouldnt so I abstain...W/out some volume on the sides both bang styles look so silly! haha.

  • I think it's just easy to become self conscious! I thought it looked wonderful on you :) (plus you created an excellent demonstration!)

  • Very cute. You make it look so easy :)

  • very cute! Lucille Ball often wore her bangs like this on her show "I Love Lucy" which I watch relgiously. It does work better with shorter bangs like her's were.

  • I love the vintage hair techniques and of course I love the vintage hair styles that you put together! Keep them coming.
