@lilLEXX2k08 I still wonder if it was an actual oil leak, or another problem reaction solution. Asphalt volcano seems like what it was; leaking gas, tarballs, and a bit of oil. There are 5,000+ oil wells in the gulf, so it's not hard to let one leak. If you research asphalt volcano you will see the whole bottom of the gulf is covered with them, and the floor as well. I think we would have seen insane amounts of thick oil hit the shorelines if it was leaking for 4 months, but just the tall bars.

But one of the sad and tough realities is that many of us find it hard to know how to change much, because of not having much resources to work with. I think one thing we should all keep in mind is that even if we can only do a LITTLE to change things, if MILLIONS do what little things they can to change, such as buying a few less things per week at Wal Mart, it can add up BIG.

Knight Island and several other gems of Prince Willian Sound still have crude oil just under the rocks after 21 years.
