I would advise you to think like a civilized person, aged 48, and not like a typical British- arrogant, haughty and without human values. If you sit back and think, Time magazine declared the person of the Century as Gandhi, only next to Albert Einstein.. You need to see why Gandhi wore simple clothes: he wanted to be one with the people, not be indifferent to them, by dressing in royal dresses and claiming he is fighting freedom. I can only guess that some people feel satisfied if they see that other people were no greater than them. gandhi was a visionary...... he saved india from civil war ( which plagues much of "free" africa and other countries that got their freedom at that time....
he was awesome... i think many of us nowadays don't agree with his philosophy as either we don't understand.

and i want to add..that he has been an exapmle..how we as one man can come out as great soul from very ordinary situations....trust me ZULU indcident was like a tuning point for his life, belief and soul..and he was not actively involved in that. That incident was the begining of "making of mahatma (the great soul)"

So I idealize him more because he was not born mahatma...he took adversity as challenge and came out as Mahatma (great soul) in his life. I idealize him the way he started as an ordinary person and over a period of time with the process of self-cleaning and refinement, he became a great soul.

Mr. Tomtomttom....I m back after a thorough research on Gandhiji. I though let me look at all the aspects in isolation and without being prejudice about anything. I don't think I owe any explanation to non-believers. But if you think history is always based on facts...man I should tell you that you are miserably wrong.
