  • Is that your PS3 controller up there? ;-) Respect for the awesome Tempest! You can program it X0X style also with "16 steps" mode, or something. Sooner or later, I'm gonna get one here!

  • americuuuh F*CK yeah!!!!!!! I never saw this until now.. i am interested now... love dsi ! great demo albeit cut short

  • its a more mpc style sequencer, not my style.

Plus the triple steps act a bit strange, kinda hard to explain.

Copying steps from bar to bar is impossible as the step copy only stays in memory for the bar your on???? weird.

Notes in the sequencer are stepped in semitones +1 up -1 down this would be ok if they stayed in the scale +1 next note in scale etc.

Note length is set with a rang of 0 - 127 would be better as 1/16, 1/4 etc

dont get me wrong not dissing this thing and its still only at V1

  • @unknownfunctionfxxx incriments of 0-127 are common with DSI instruments. The general highest value a MIDI CC can send is 127. This is the reason! You may already know this, but for those who don't, it's interesting.

  • Shouldn't the sequencer be the best part about this thing? Whats wrong with the sequencer? Menu diving? No dedicated sequencing knobs? I'm curious. I love Dave's stuff and am really liking the power of this thing. And I'm not even the biggest fan of analog drums.

  • now that's some fucking techno

  • cool

  • can you expand to 10 voices with the tetra 4?

  • nice feel !

  • @unknownfunctionfxxx hey, great demo. i've started playing a Tempest some weeks ago and I absolutely love it. for some tight techno tracks there's nothing that works better for me! finally i got my hands off the pc and on to some nice hardware! keep up your nice work, i hope to see more soon!

  • Not a 303 by far, but everything else is solid as a rock. Very nice!

  • I'm actually thinking of getting rid of the desktop Evolver now that I have the Tempest... Tempest voices sound a lot better for synth work and the only thing Evolver has over it is tunable feedback...

  • @MusicGearNuts

Why not use both? That would be a killer combo.

  • Best use of the Tempest I've seen so far. Can't wait to get my hands on one
