  • those tail lights bring nostalgia. i miss seeing these cars on the road.

  • @lowfirepierce whats nostalgia? :S

  • put some hood stacks re-enforce the front with iron rods and put some mesh over the wind shield and make a hard core chevyaic

  • the dash looks so much like a Chevy Caprice/Impala

  • @carntruckfreak4life You are correct,. Some of the canadian made Parisianne actually used the caprice dashboard yet there are some that have the Bonneville. To each his or her own but I prefer my pontiac to have a Bonneville dash and my Caprice to have the Caprice dash. One of the strangest I ever seen was a 1960 Buick with a right side steering boasting a 60 Chevy dashboard and it came from the factory that way. It was in Australia.

  • i have a 85 all Original...89,783 miles

  • I have an 84, cost me $900 got it with 70,000 Miles on it.

  • You have the same taste in cars as me. Nice pics, bro.

  • I can't stand Japanese Cars. To this day I have yet To drive one. Yay for Caprice, Parisian and all the RWD cars of the 80's

  • I can't stand Japanese Cars. To this day I have yet To drive one. Yay for Caprice, Parisienne and all the RWD cars of the 80's

  • we had 1986 Pontiac Parisienne wagon 5.7 V8, it was lovely car

  • That's an awesome car! I've driven them. I'd say it's worth $2000 because of the mileage, maybe $2500. For the a/c, get licensed to buy the R-12 and recharge it. (The R12 is hard to get and expensive but there are substitutes). Or, you can try 134a but you add less 134a than R-12 b/c R-134a works at higher pressures. But gotta get the system evacuated first before adding R-134a. The whole retrofit thing is bullshit/scam, basically you just use R-134a instead of R-12. R-134 isn't as cold.

  • OMG ITS THE CHEVIAC!!!

  • nice cheviac u might as well give it to ave he is colecting them lol

  • Thats one slick Pontiac!!! Love to find one!! Its pronounced "Paree-zee-ann", and the surging comes from the torque converter kicking in and out. Its very noticable on small, lower hp engines especially in the '80s RWD models. If you aren't accustomed to GM cars of that era, it drives you insane. Those cars all have the Chevrolet 5.0L 305 V8 with TBI. 85-89 GM B-body wagons came with the Olds 307 (5.0L) v8 and those were equpiped with the rochester quadrajet 4-bbl

  • MAN! that's corithian leather!!!!!

  • I had a 1977 ponitiac Parisienne I was driving it with my children in the car and the frame broke....We got it weilded but it didn't work

  • Not bad at all man. And its really cheap to convert an R-12 system to 134a. I converted my 81 LTD to 134a, cost about 70 bucks total, and that was because my orginal compressor was totalled. I bought a converted compressor, the 134a, and the evaporator. Took me a hour or so to do the conversion on my car.

  • I also say look for a toyota. Not to drive, but to put in the trunk of the Parisienne for better traction in the winter. Sweet ride.

  • Lynol, have you tried your "3-sets-of-3" procedure lately? LOL

  • the fuel gauge must not work. car lots never fill the gas tank completely.

  • I don't know about that car. $2500 is a lot to pay for higher mileage and no A/C with a transmission that you aren't quite sure about. If I were you I'd go for a mid 80's Lincoln Town Car or Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.

  • no it worth it i hsve one and love it they ride like a cloud

  • that's a negro car why lynol?

  • i'd pay around 2000 with 2300 at the most just because of the high miles but still for its age its in great shape.

  • I think you would be better off with the fith ave It seems like this one has some hidden problems.

  • You can buy those all day long for $1500 on the stick around here, although there aren't a lot of them still around. If it was cold it might be doing the chicken a little bit, should straighten up when warm. Probably has never had the A/C recharged since it was new, system shuts down completely when freon is too low. Basically it is a Canadian Bonneville. Very nice driving cars. Likely that the gas pedal has never seen the mat until you drove it :) Senior pre-owned for sure.

  • That's a nice car too! May I say, a Cheviac? lol

I agree with the comments down below, with dead A/C, I don't think that car is quite worth $2500.

    Great video!

  • woo! finally HD videos!

  • The Cheviac!!!!!

  • damn that sounds like a strong 305. I heard that 4 barrel open up at 7:30.

  • Cheviac!!! Davesfarm rocks

  • not for that price

  • $1,500 book value is pretty good for any 1986 car...

  • good all cars.. Big an took up most of the highway, the old ones floated on air it felt like an cruised nicely we had a lincoln towncar that had muscle too ! An its about time you made another vid

  • $2000 sounds good no higher thow.

  • Id pay around $1900 or $2000 for that, with no AC and all. But you can get cans of R12 off ebay still LOL.

But it is in very nice shape overall, just dosent have much resale value if you wanted to get rid of it.

  • my truck i paid 750 for.. it runs are drives and gets good gas milage... has no AC or heat... but atleast it was cheap

  • @DannysCam I get 40 mpg on average for city driving, is that as good as your truck?

  • @99minerkc i get 31 what do you drive a diesel? and is it a truck?

  • man up here they wouldnt get anywhere near that kind of money for such an old car no matter how good it is due to so little of people can put gas in them but its different up in my neck of the woods i guess i wouldnt buy it but im not buying much these days lol

  • very nice i must say!!!! nice touch with the bob segar!

  • My friends parents had an 1984 Pontiac Parisienne station wagon and it was a great car as a teenager and taking 7 friends out on the town.

  • $2700 isn't bad, if the AC worked...

I'd only pay $1800-$2000 for it.

  • $1500, thats what i would pay

  • He's asking too much given the A/C issue, the surging at low speeds. Good overall car for around 1,700.00 or so.

  • @99minerkc Yeah I agree. Upper 1,000s to $2,000 tops seems to be the consensus. If it didn't have the AC issue or maybe just if it had lower miles it might be worth $2,500.

  • @LynolsOffice id say teh carb ( more than likely a quadrajunk. said wiht respect btw. ) but would take care fo the surging, wiht a carb overhaul. would be great wiht that repaired and either hte ac recharged or converted. its in excelelnt shape for its age. those miles tell me it was hardly driven. per average miles used.

  • cheviac!!!!!!!!!

  • @simplicityford lol "Davids farm rocks!"

  • Chances are its a pontiac 301

  • @pontiacpanic79 Naw, this car is more or less a re-badged Caprice, so it's got the 305, they had dropped most of the Pontiac designed V8s by then. It would be cool to have a car with a genuine Pontiac V8 in it though.

  • @pontiacpanic79 No that's definately a 305. All Pontiac V8s were gone after 1982, the last one was a 265.

I do actually have a 1978 Pontiac Bonneville w/301 engine.

BTW Lynol it's pronounced "pa reezzeey nnnnnnn..:-)

  • I like the mopar better

  • my k5 blazer surges sometimes when it's cold. when it warms up it stops though

  • Tell em, if they fix the AC you'll take it for 2700. These are awesome cars that simply will not die. Totally reliable and super comfortable. Typical American automobile from the mid 80's. But the only thing I dont like about it, is the fact that its white. I owned 2 white cars in my day(1977 BMW 320i and a 1969 VW Bug) and you just cannot keep them clean. Plus white is a really boring color in my opinion.

  • @BeephLypz It's hard to tell in the vid, but it's actually a cream color, so it does get dirty but at least it's not quite so boring, lol. I asked about the AC, but he's not willing to fix it.

  • @LynolsOffice Then tell him to take a hike. If he isn't willing to fix the AC then hes gonna have a hell of a time trying to sell it for what he's asking. BTW Your videos and Moldymac's are awesome!!!

  • That's a pretty nice car

  • better off buying a used Toyota, A Toyota with 131,000 miles is just barely broken in and would be MUCH more reliable then that car.

  • @rockford74

    True that

  • @rockford74 Yeah, more reliable and economical!! I have a Prius!! :-)

  • @99minerkc That is the worst car you could buy in the value department.

  • @Roushfan5 What is the worse car you can buy in the value dept? If you're referring to prius, do you have evidence to support you comment, or just your subjective, personal opinion?

  • @rockford74 Are you kidding, good luck finding one this age with that kind of power and no rust. Toyotas suck.

  • @rockford74 Well, I'm not looking for a primary car, just something as an extra, something to cruise on the highway with or drive around weekends. I was interested in trying to find a 2nd gen Honda Accord, but it seems most of those '80s Japanese cars all rusted away around here.

  • @mrdestoryit what does it suck at?? i can't find shit wrong with them besides they use hardly any gas at all

  • @rockford74 actually I still have one and they are reliable.. blame our govt for allowing imported cars

  • @rockford74 There are 3 wrong facts in your post.

  • @fire398017 I don't agree, I speak from experience I live 60 plus miles from my job and I have bought 4 toyotas with one hundred thousand miles PLUS and drove them all till five hundred thousand PLUS miles where on them and I got 30 PLus MPG on them all. I LOVE ToYoTa!! : ) But when I want to have FUN I drive one of my Cobras or my Lightning... : )

  • @rockford74 Don't under-estimate the reliabillity of these old boats. They go through hell and back, which an 85 Toyota does not.

  • I thought this was from Davidsfarm when it appeared in my subscriptions! lol

  • @ethen24 Same here :)
