it's 6 months I have N8 and I haven't these problems. I tryed iPhone also, and yes...iPhone is faster, but videoclips, pics and audio are sh*t on iPhone. With the last upgrade OviMaps rarely fails, offline also.

I had the N8 for about a week before I sold it. Probably the worst phone I´ve ever used. It lags, the piece of shit browser makes the entire phone freeze if you load any complex sites, I tried to load a site with no real background, just one flash banner ad and a gif file, it froze, tried again with a smaller gif file, it froze. Had to reset every time. Social networking on it is a pain. Nokias own social app is a disaster and there is no officla FB, Skype or Twitter client. Symbian is awful.

It's just like a computer. Compare 2 computers with identical specs but different os, say.... windows XP and windows vista. The XP computer would surely run faster and smoother than the vista one.

The browser sucks, flash or not its slow. ovi maps suck , compleate lack of frequent update to the maps have left me at dead ends or stranded many times ,the fact you can use ovi maps offline means nothing when its not accurate. 12megapixels means nothing when the restriction is the lens. hdmi is good. im so over nokias clunky ass Symbian software , im not loyal to anybrand. signed n70,n73,n80,n95,n95-8gb ,n96 owner.

Google maps for me - unsable - requires a dataplan. How do i use that when I am on holiday overseas? Or how do I use that without racking up my data bill?

Battery life of iphone 4 is much longer than n8 both talk time and stand by time. People use up iphone 4 batt fast since they play with it more. browser on n8 is complete failure and iphone will have flash soon from skyfire browser. HDMI yeah that's cool feature of n8

As for your nighttime photo's - went to a club with my friends the other night - they are all snapping their photo's with their iphones - When i got everyones pics, and and compared them with mine - there was a HUGE difference in quality. N8 blew iphone out of the water. Thats my personal experience.

Battery life is much better on my old iPhone 4. My Nokia N8 ran out of juice after a very short time and I didn´t even game on it.

And yes the browser does suck, it's only Flash Lite which isn´t accelerated and lags horribly. Not to mention the browser made my phone freeze three times in one day.

It is a shame because hardware is amazing. But Symbian^3 is awful. Laggy, confusing, ugly, lacks even the basic apps I use on a daily basis on other devices and so on.

The battery was definitely worse, and the phone wasnt even 3 months old. As for the browser, Ive tried Opera 10 many times. On Android, iPhone and now Nokia N8, that browse is no good. I dont like the interface, the fact that certain plugins just arent there, oh, and it has one level of zoom and no multitouch. No multi-touch zooming is a dealbreaker right there. And yes I think you can pinch to zoom, but it still only has one level of zoom. This shoudlve been fixed years ago.

Nokia has their employees voting up the vids and attacking people who leave negative comments here on youtube to try and get people interested in this pile of shit, but this video again proves that it's crap like I said it would be. Download Opera mobile 10. It works fine on N8. By the way, the native browser will stuck whenever it load a page over 2 Mt. Just wait 10 seconds and it works again - But yeah, you're right, web browser sucks.

Loving the N8 so far, but the browser really is no good and that's a shame thinking example the N900 browser.

Hopefully the PR1.1 with the totally new browser will come out before end of year.
