I would classifie bends like carpatihan forest or nargaroth as the modern scum of the scene. I was refering on vanishing of black metal in general.There are just few bends with new albums(agalloch) that keep the true black metal emotion and atmosphere.BM is not about spikes,blood, blast beat and extreme agression-when it becomes just that it becomes punk,death or other shit, too many bends keep forgeting true being of their music

COF from this into extreme gothic metal, dimmu borgir from melo black into simphonyc metal( ? ), old covenant to kovenant( seti=shity), darkthrone is now creating punk, gehenna turned into black/death, satyricon now playing black n roll, emperor created progressive prometheus than perished, varg disappointed with belus( what happened to screams?)… I guess guys form immortal have all the right to mock the “scene”  with their new video.

What a great and underrated band this is. I am very proud to own one of the old original red baphomet sigil longsleeve Gehenna shirts, just like in the picture! On the back it reads "LIVE FOR SATAN". Tell me that's not black metal! First Spell is an absolute jewel.

Was just wondering what your where refering to, is it dimmu borgir? cradle of filth? or some of the "newer" bands that keep that old sound like satanic warmaster and behexen? or is it the stuff like new enslaved album or bands like agalloch that seem to have black metal elements but incorporate so much more. @AtrumVoco Well, the term poser comes from someone not being what they appear to be, and most new bands have no real original concepts or the like, Darkthrone always wanted to create something 'true' in the sense that it was their own (neoclassical) musical creation. Poser bands cash in on others reputations, this goes for quite well acclaimed bands like Watain and Marduk too (albeit having satisfying early material, atleast quite). Almost every new band is like this, the problem is

but it is the song that started the war against the white christ in norge 1993 aysp

since it was evil to sing about "choosing the true evil - not the feeble" in the name of Raven Wings (The Norse High Kingdom 793 aysp) and of the Dragon Claws (the Norse Longboats, and their Marines)
