I think the feel of the song sounds Japanese rock, not so much the pronunciation of the language. Perhaps to unfamiliar ears it might sound similar because of some common syllables like 'ya', 'ke', 'na', 'so', 'wo', 'ki' (i can really go on.. the korean hangeul can cover most of japanese's) but i def think royal pirates are underground, influenced by j-rock mainly.

i thought, too, that this sounds more like japanese. maybe because there aren't many korean bands that produce rock-music, so it reminds me a little bit of j-rock. (even though i don't listen to j-rock)

and to me (i am korean) he spells some korean words like he is not korean-raised, it sounds mor like english is his first language..^^ but this is good, to be honest, this is the first korean rock-band i've listened to - and i like it!!! (:

also i suppose to people who are not very familiar with either language, Japanese and Korean may sound very similar.
