@Christomb The inbuilt rendering feature of Autodesk Inventor 2011 is rather limited. I don't know it you are able to do that. However, with the render package of Autodesk, Showcase, you are able to create light points within your model.
How did you model the canopy. I too have modeled my trex 500, but the canopy with compound curve is a big headache. It's very useful for checking battery size fit.

Is it possible to create a part (or an assembly) with light ? For example, a keyboard with the CAPS led on.
