I'm from Italy, but I've been listening to Bob Dylan for all my childhood... 3 people don't know what music is all about... I think this version is the best one.
Not all versions of Hard Rain are so good, but it's a great live anyway.
Check out "Before the Flood". It is a live album by Bob Dylan and The Band, released in June 1974. This song is on it with a very similar version. It is awesome. I was 11 years old when I bought this album. It still impresses me.
This is one instance of a re-worked song that blows the doors off the original. Also, "Tangled Up In Blue" from "Real Live" would qualify. However, this is probably Bob Dylan's single greatest concert footage, in my opinion.
You know what I really hate... that fat fuck in the top right corner, almost 60 million views, and 69,000 for this fantastic music. Why the fuck would I submit myself to watching whatever God knows crap that the 60 million people have?
Oh, yeah, that was Hughes Stadium in Ft. Collins, May 23, 1976. the Rolling Thunder Review. we ended up soaking wet and covered in mud, and he made us finally go home.
What could be better? Mick Ronson, Roger McGuinn and Bob Dylan at the Municipal Auditorium, San Antonio, Texas on 11th May 1976. I have the CDof this concert but didn't know there was film footage.
Love those bells (bellbottoms) Use to see him alot walking in Woodstock, NY (I grew up 8 miles away). He was always a loner. But if he saw a kid sitting in the village green trying to make music - he would go and and help - it was, as he had stated a way of giving back. Arlo Guthrie's father did the same to him.
were all of the songs from Hard Rain taken from this concert? If so does anyone know where I can find the whole thing? Particularly that version of You're a big girl now.
LOL.................Springsteen could never hold a candle to Dylan. I like Springsteen's stuff, too............but he's no Dylan. He can't write like Dylan. Not even close.
OK so I've had this theory for the longest time, that Bob Dylan is somehow Adam Sandler's dad, this video just cinches it for me. Does he not look just like Adam Sandler.
7000 views and no negativity. Its good to see people appreciate one of the best singer/song writers that ever lived. And one of the best songs ever written off one of the best albums he ever wrote!
@Onuund He is a SINGER/SONG WRITER and one of the best SINGER/SONG WRITERS ever. He may not be the best vocalist that ever lived but his voice works perfectly with his music, which is primarily folk music. This is the whole point of my original comment....still not sure what the point of your comment is as no one has stated he;s a great vocalist...
Nobody can rock a dish towel like Bob. He's still a force of nature! Great clip!

Is it just me or was the bass guitarit a bit slow getting started? Seemed like Dylan was all alone for awhile.

Thanks for uploading this version of this song.
I loved Bob in the 1970's - favourite Live LP is Live from Budokan but having difficulty getting a CD.
Desire and Blood on thenTracks are my favourite LP's but I have a strong attachment for the Jokerman single from a later period.
