  • wow exactly how i feel right now - great.

  • this is the weirdest song ever :/

  • "Later on me and a bottle will hook up to have some fun Then I'll call your house at twelve to let you know that I'm drunk Say I'm sorry Mr C, I was just looking for your son How are you, incidentally, do you know if he's out alone? There is this book he lent to me something like seven months ago I'm gonna burn it in the street be so kind as let him know that I'm dealing with this badly and could he please get back to me?" I think are the best lyrics in any song ive heard
  • was she drunk?

  • This is my favorite of her songs.

  • I love Emmy The Great!

This is definitely my favourite song from her. :)

  • A really well written song but disappointingly average vocals.

  • i like this version better thn the one on the cd.

  • "i feel worse then when S club 7 broke up'

    NOT possible

  • ach its too good <3

  • i'm from hong kong too :) emmy's great!

  • EMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY IS AMAZING!

  • My favourite Emmy song - the version on the Spec Ed of her album is just beautiful. Could listen to it endlessly <3

  • I like this version better then the one itunes

  • i love her music, it's just so nice, i like it a lot!!! :D

  • I love this song, but it sure sounds like "grapes" on the studio version. I've noticed that when she plays it live she says "drapes" (which makes more sense) and takes out the "f" word.

  • is she a bit foreign or something? I heard that she was from the left end of spain or something, is that true?

  • Hong Kong actually, she was born there, then moved to London.. Her CD was edited in Spain, maybe thats what you heard... not sure if she lived there tho.. i dont think so, she was always playing in bars all over england over the past years..

  • I met her once. True story.

  • this goes alright, i just read below about the whole laura marling thing, this doesn't remind me slightly of laura marling, they're both different artists, completely.

  • @dresdendollsx you have to notice a similarity in the tonality and phrasing of their voice. but definately different attitudes and intentions in their music. Making them completaly different artists, as you said.

  • @dresdendollsx btw.... love the dresden dolls! :P

  • well, they are two different artists. I cant say i like one more than the other, but if i had to pick itd probably be laura. emmy's music is great but a bit too soft for me. ive been listening to artists like frank turner and jonah matranga (same genre, but a lil more punk-sounding, which i prefer)

  • this is easily the best version of this song... why is the other one so ridiculously speeded up! it completely loses the meaning of the words. plus this should be on the album.

  • its on the bonus track addition :)

  • i love it (:

reminds me of my best friend

as shewas the one that introtuced it too me (:

  • this is so one million times better than lily allen

  • @peteblueeyesfromBI

I agree. The difference lies mainly in the lyrics. Like Kate Nash, Lily Allen has some appealing tunes that are nicely honest, but they don't go much beyond that. Laura Marling, Emmy and Regina Spektor's songs are loaded with poetic effort not just at the time outbursts of sincerity.

  • I love this song, it's so soothing <3

  • This song is sooo adictive :D

She kinda of reminds me Laura Marling ^^

  • Emmy is waaaay better than Laura, asmuch as I lvoe them both. Emmy's lyrics are more....real. More understated.

  • That's a matter of opinion. They're two completely different writing styles.

  • ...of course it's a metter of oppinion. I don't think I implied they have the same writing style? Surely Maouwxgirl did, by saying she reminds her of Laura Marling?

  • You said "Emmy is waaaay better than Laura," which isn't taking into account the completely different styles of writing, singing, playing, etc. Maouwxgirl is guilty of the same thing, but she didn't say one was better than the other...

  • I'm sory, I just didn't expect I'd be required to be that detailed in my comments

  • I think Jamiee means that she didn't realize she had to be so specific.......stop being so nitpicky, i don't think she meant that they have the same writing style, comparisons work in casual conversation different than if you're being exact. it was an expression of personal preference. she doesn't need to begin each opinion with "I THINK" or anything like that.

  • Jamiee is soooo much better at arguing. Hurph durh.

  • .... right.

  • its coming out as a bonus track with a few others on a bonus edition of her album first love at the end of the month

  • It's on the Edward is Dedward ep.

  • As we all know now the true song title is Canopies And Drapes. (Makes sense really).

  • This song is. . . adictive!

  • 21st century edith piaf?

  • i love this song; i wish it was on the album :( does anyone know where i can get it from?

  • Try searching it on iTunes, think it's available on there.

  • cheers (Y)

  • oh i love her so much!!! i wonder if she comes to the USA one day....

  • when i saw her last year i asked her to play this, and she said she couldn't remember most of the lyrics cos it was one of the first songs she ever wrote and ages ago. it's so strange that she couldn't remember it when it's so important to me. but she sang it anyway and i prompted her when she couldn't remember. god, i love her

  • This is my favourite song by Emmy, I love the lyrics. I was a bit disappointed it wasn't on the album.

  • Emmy the great is soo amazing, I can't understand why so few people don't know about her?!

  • how is she not more famous? her lyrics are clever :D

  • I fucking love this song.

  • yesss ULU :D

  • she was so good toniiiight :D but she didnt play 24 ): this was one of the encore songs though :D :D

  • ULU?

  • she played edward is dedward, made me so happy :D

  • im still bitter she didnt pay 24 ahaa

  • I was talking to Emmy tonight!! It was so cool. The song was supposed to be Canopies and Drapes but there was a typo haha

  • Wow! And what did she say?? :)

  • She was saying that the song has never been called Canopies and Grapes and that she didn't know where that came from. It was great she was quite happy to talk about music for like 40 mins then she signed some stuff for me.

  • Hehe well, I don't know the true title then, did she reveal it to you? She seems really nice :)

  • @Fooliccini she totally said grapes.

  • i saw god pictures of this girl ;)

    she is hot

i can t find the pix any more? were are they..... :SSSSS
