maybe they have a different set of rules? "gays" are alot more passive and im sure are doing the sport to have fun, and not to spur the snot out of a horse. im sure they dont like causing it any more pain than needed.

actually if you read justins comments, you will see they do have a different set of rules!

and as for the comments that this is a gay site.. like i said who the hell cares! im straight and married for 10 years. but alot of my closest friends are gay and they are AWESOME people!

The rodeo also has strict rules concerning animal welfare (which is part of the reason the rules may be different). Competitors can win a little money if they do well, but it is rarely enough to cover entry fees, lodging and getting there. It's all about the fun, hanging out with friends, raising money for charity... not so much about the competition.

that two handed part of the rideing I never understood we rode with one hand up on the strait circut when I got to the IGRA circut and saw that it never made much sense to me let alone the 6 second ride

not really strange just differnt from how I leardned it while I rode on the strait circut I was a bronk rider and a bull rider all for 8 seconds nothing against it I just had to get used to seing it all done that way ..honestlly I didnt understand IGRA either to me it was too differnt from how i got used to seeing it I mean honestlly who puts panties on a goat or rides out in drag..I come from the honest to God get yourself hurt and move on PRCA..I also rode UPRA and CBR but I am gay

what organization do you mean IGRA whih is the gay one or UPRA and CBR are strait organizations there are several stait rodeo organizations

It's not necessary. There are gay and straight competitors (and spectators) in IGRA rodeos. IGRA and all rodeos that are sanctioned by IGRA are non profit. All money made from the rodeos go to charities. A main reason why the rules are so different and the events are not typical is because they encourage amateurs to compete (for a good cause).

toatally agree. if gays want to compete in rodeo thats funr but do it the right way. they dont want to be treated different in real life, why should rodeo be different

the gays wrote the rules for the amateur rodeos.. that's why they are different... the gays compete in straight rodeos (professional ones) and usually clean up money wise.
