Both suspension types have their good and bad points.

The IRS version goes through mud better, but is floppy with a heavy load in the cargo box.

Improvements would be a stiffer suspension and more weight just forward of the back wheels to help with it's bouncy problem on hills.

the only difference i know of is the suspension sportsma is independent and boss is straight axle also big boss is normally a two stroke i think

man these are strictly desidned for farm work but mine has been and will go any where another quad gets stuck and make it with no problem the only trouble i have ever had it the damn thing doesnt have enough ground clearence so ive bottomed out a few times in the mud but the 6 wheel drive works like its supposed to

What exactly is the difference between the Sportsman 6x6 and the Big Boss 6x6 models? Is it the same bike just a name change for the year model?
