@chubman1234 Although weed smoke does contain a large number of carcinogens, chances are smoking it won't cause cancer. THC is an anticarcinogen, killing dangerous cells before they have time to really fuck you up. A study showed there was no correlation between smoking marijuana and getting lung cancer, in fact a negative correlation was suggested. You can't always trust what your teacher or parents tell you, they're affected by media bias too.

@chubman1234 Dude, I'm just saying that while marijuana smoke does contain a lot of bad shit, the THC counteracts it enough for it to be considered "less carcinogenic" than tobacco smoke. People who smoked it were shown to have little to no increase in risk of lung cancer, whereas people who smoked cigarettes were shown to have a significantly increased risk of lung cancer. I never said smoking weed will stop you from getting lung cancer altogether, that's ridiculous.

I think it's a pretty legitimate and justified concern to have if drug traffickers have a presence in your neighborhood. So this is something to be afraid of, and not simply brushed off because the substance these criminals are dealing with may not actually be dangerous itself.

I read while doing some research for a speech class, that the old tests the performed before or during the Ray-gun administration they actually put gas masks on monkeys pumping them full of marijuana smoke for 10-15 mins every day. The monkeys died after so many days of course, but that is because they were suffocated with carbon dioxide, which happens when you burn ANYTHING.

@peterb37 I am saying that it is physically impossible to smoke, and inhale, an ounce of pot in 24 hours. First of all just the smoking and rolling part would eat up your time. Secondly, even the crappiest pot sold would knock your ass out before you finished half of it. I smoke daily, everyday, and it helps me combat symptoms from PTSD, and this amounts to about 8 small joints a day. By the 8th one, and not great weed, I am out of it. Again, not possible.

I have no medical problems, four degrees in computer science and I now work as an independant business consultant making great money. I smoke every day and have for decades. I need some one to explain to me how POT destroyed my life. The only way is to get arrested for it and then its not the pot but the government doing the destroying.
