kibritiahmar: Nobody outside the terrorist nation of America buys corvettes or dodges, any french/ italian car or van is light years ahead of yankie manure...enjoy your hamburger and coke.lol
The way the driver steers is not exactly the same, in the Fiat, you see the driver steer smoothly, in the Citroen it's quit rude. That's not only because of the ESP, it's manipulating I think....
@MyMovieDK It does that automatically. And I thought Citroens were meant to be safe cars. They don't even fit ESP standard OR give it as a option? wtf...
@EpicentreNL It was a joint ADAC/Which? test, co-funded by Which? but tested at ADAC. The full article on our website (Link in the description) is very specific about the Bipper and the issues it had. Peugeot confirmed that its Bipper Tepee would share the same critical handling characteristics, but we did not repeat the test for safety reasons.
@ghune The test is designed specifically to replicate a drivers reaction to an accident in front of them on a road as if you had to swerve on to the opposite side of the road to avoid a static car in front of you then swerve back to avoid hitting oncoming traffic.
@ghune Let's say someone drives through a red traffic light on a crossing, onto your lane as you are driving through green light. He brakes comes to a standstill because he saw you coming, but now it's up to you, only thing you can do is make a fast lane change to avoid the accident. See what's coming next? Or, in most countries this test is called a moose test, as wild animals tend to cross a road, you will have to be able to avoid them and safely travel further after your fast lane changes.
@ghune I've had to maneuver like that in our '96 Toyota 4Runner on a few occasions. Once it fish tailed almost 180 degrees, the other times I was more fortunate to keep the car pointing the right direction.

@ChewyNet1 but what if you can't stop in time, then your only option is to SWERVE out of the way.

To bad it wasn't Which? who discovered it, but ADAC from Germany.
And the Peugeot doesn't have ESP Either, but they fail to tell that in this clip, which is the reason why the Bipper doesn't even gets tested.

@EpicentreNL ; The germans esp VW are very worried about large number of new vehicle sales going to Italian/ French brands.
VW don't employ all ex Alfa/ Abarth designers for no reason...oh and Italdesign etc
Reason is german design is very dull...don't think the Golf is german..Mk1 = Italian design ie Italdesign Giugiaro....

@LivingForLOL
That's the whole point. The cars are exactly the same... EXCEPT for the fact that the Citroen doesn't have stability control.
Stability control has been called the most important safety advance since the invention of the seat belt, and this test shows why.
