@mmanna82 could very well be..don't know where the plate came from originally, but an oldschool powerlifter left it for the gym.. why don't i post a video of it later this week.. I'll update ya with the link.. it's an odd size for sure..
I think we all know how much more difficult this routine would be with all that weight moved that much further from the pivot point.... Let's see you pick up a 75lbs plate and do the same thing...then you can post a video and receive negative comments too!! It's fun! hahaha
75 lbs?? no problem. especially the way hes doing them. but u shouldnt use a plate anyways because the weight is spread all over i mean the plate is down to his legs lol. he wont hit his upper abs good doing it like that. use a curl bar and keep it against ur chest
It would make it more effective to hold the weight more over the chest than the stomach. I do the same thing with a similar weight (35kg). it builds rock hard abs.
hmm... although many people have told me to do this kinda routine.. but i really dont get it. i mean.. holding this weight.. how does it increase the difficulty level and how does it ensure that our abs are gonna be worked harder.. jus wanna clarify..
hahah 75lbs my ass!! first of all put the plate behind ur neck man...

That's not a 75 lbs plate, that's at maximum a 45 lbs plate, if not a 35 lbs plate.
